I got my full build at element tuning..he had a line of EJ25 +08 in his shop all with cylinder failure in the same part of the block all had one thing in common no MADE IN JAPAN stamp on the block all failed at 500hp .. 07 and under which has the Japan stamp and hit 650-750 all day long with stock sleeves..don't know where the new ones are made maybe India ..all I know is they are not as strong and not built in Japan.. if you build a newer one he fills the cylinder wall with a strengthening compound which helps but still not as strong because the cylinder walls are half the thickness of the older scoobs..so for all the EJ haters I got 715AWHP on a EJ25 04 try to do that with this new model and watch it go boom ..if your going to keep it under 500 you shouldn't have any worries ..but this is 2014 who the hell wants to be raped by just about every sportscar on the road because 500hp is most stock cars anymore..

I bought a new WRX this month. I could/would have been able to hold out for the 2015's increased power and improved suspension (we all know the 2014 could use it), but the 2014 looks WAY more sexy. I scooped up the Rally Blue hatchback before Subaru had the chance to make the horrible decision of discontinuing the body style.

I cannot tolerate another review of his. I was really excited to get into the details of this car, and instead I get a one-man commentary worse than Top Gear USA. EDIT: It's probably been posted, but I just stumbled over this hour long review...should be good. EDITx2: Oh yeah, that's the stuff. The body roll, lateral G's, etc are compared to competitors, and the target of the Porsche 911. It's impressive on paper. I'm worried that this amount of stiffness, or the new transmission, are going to cause some serious durability issues for the new model. Only time will tell. I'm shifting my focus toward a H6 Outback with adjustable coilovers, though. I love the WRX, but the front hangs out way too far. Last edited by Siress; 02-20-2014 at 07:15 PM. |

new 2015 vs 2014
Quote:
The flared fenders on the 2014 really do it for me. Oh, and the hatch too. Not sure if the new 2015 WRX can sound as good as the 2014 WRX. However, the 2015 does everything else better but looks ugly doing it. |

It's growing on me, but there is still something missing. In 2005, the STi was the car to beat. It mopped the floor with just about every production model in the same price range, including some of the big bad V8s. That was 10 years ago, and now those V8 cars are making 500 horsepower while this new STI still has 300, C'mon man. Maybe the rumored FA25 will break the 300 HP threshold?
Although, I believe that stock performance cars are for people that solely base their purchase on "Car And Driver" reviews. No offense. Last edited by MRGierut013; 02-26-2014 at 12:15 PM. |

I just can't express how awfully disappointed I am with the New Wrx and Sti. Very very sad situation. I should've hung onto my '11, and I most definitely would have if I'd known how terrible the new gen would be.
- Looks horrendous, even more "boy racer" now - Changed very little besides cosmetics... I mean come on! The same wing?! LOL - No additional power - Seats look like junk I have to say the only thing I really dig about this car is the wheels x1000 Subaru has failed. Miserably. -Beach |

Have you checked out the 54 min video posted by Siress earlier? The 2015 STi is improved in a lot of ways - engine tuning, chassis, suspension, interior, transmission, ... If one was to compare the 2014 STi vs 2015 STi ... the 2015 wins easily as it is improved in almost every department ... and for virtually the SAME price! Now if I could just get over the ugliness of the 2015. |

This was a very limited production model. With upgraded parts. Can subaru make something better than the 22b? Of course they can. Consider this.. Production model with bits and pieces replaced... (just like the 22B) S206 and 204 come to mind as well. Compare any of the stock mass production STIs to the 15MY and honestly the 15 is the best one yet, especially when it comes to handling. |

Subaru with its WRX n STI is kind of like apple is with the iPhone. regardless most every one will criticize it, but new is always better so majority will cave in and buy even tho hardly anything worthwhile has been changed with the STI***8230;

Does that rear spoiler actually does anything, besides looking ugly?

Now if you already own an STi, that is a different story, but coming from a non Subaru, I don't see how getting the 15 STi is a bad thing. |

are you ready to spend $80K on it? The 22B and the other special STi's were tiny production runs that cost over 60 thousand british pounds at the time they came out. Actually, $80k might not be enough.

Uh the wheels in this video are different than all other photos of this STI and I haven't seen this wheel anywhere except for this video. Not sure what that's all about but I wouldn't mind buying this black wheel from the parts department for my second set on my 11.
I saw the gold wheels in person at the DC autoshow and they looked too matt for my liking. I'd prefer the old speedline metallic gloss finish for the gold. Not much else I like from this STI. Seats are LAME. Steering wheel is the only thing worth grabbing aside from these black wheels in the video. |

I watched that whole 55 minute "everything you wanted to know" o it really does tell you alot about the development of the new STI. Only about five minutes of it was not boring/uninteresting. |

2015 wrx
is it possible to mount and run an 18" wheel on the 2015
wrx, and not have to cut holes in the fenders? |

I made the same decision... I was in the market since June 13' and was disappointed when the 2015's was released. The suspension and interior looked good but the new model year did not have the hatchback model and the exterior was nothing to be excited about, which made my decision VERY easy.
