I saw a AW SE at local dealer...wheel color is sweet...but I prefer my BBS. SE came off the truck with 4 miles on it, ran thru car wash and was handed over to new owner a few mins later. They are expecting another one soon with SPT boost gauge and short shifter, as of Thursday, no deposit on it.

I dont get why more companies dont sell cars with minimal ammentaties but butt loads of performance. One you can only listen to one cd at a time. I never understood multiple cd players in a car. Do you really drive 6 hrs a day to work? The stereo itself majority of people put in aftermarket stereos anyway. HID overrated IMO. Halogens work fine. A/C controls hell take the a/c out thats what windows are for. I see them selling a lot of the SE and very few STis. Arent most people that buy the STi looking for performance anyway?

I bought one and the reason is I was completely unconcerned with the deletes below and love the additions. The HIDs would be nice but I'll take the $2000 less entry point over the HIDs.

1mm thicker rear stabilizer bar, needed for the understeer STi gets OTB.

Stiffer Rear sub-frame bushings for less chassis flex. Supports crisp and rigid feel during spirited cornering.

stiffer springs and retuned shocks (spec-C type, not like the jdm spec c). better overall with body roll and handling. Hopefully corrects the understeer abit.

not bad

but arent these the usual mods that you would tackle after buying one??? Or since they are better from factory, you dont have to!

Looks nice I would wait till you can get some color. but why not drop price more with the same springs and sway. you could spend the money saved on a better set of springs and sway that you would perfer

i absolutely love mine.. got it right off the truck in february. i finally have over 1200 miles so i can open it up now a bit now.

since it's my daily driver and i dont care for the go-kart felling of coilovers around town, i'll prob just replace the sways, change some bushings out for poly here and there and thats about it. oh and some stickier tires of course.. and as far as power goes i'll probably just stick to a stage 2 with a pro-tune. i'll probably upgrade the stereo eventually too, but for now it's better than the stereo in my '04 WRX so im content. im stickin to mostly exterior upgrades: Rallyart mudflaps, tint, mostly debadged, rainguards and front lip.. any other suggestions?

If I hadn't been spending $$ tweaking the suspension on my WRX, I'd be looking at an SE. I know they're very different cars but can't help wondering how my few mods would compare back to back?
