Anything like the old "All We'll Drive" happening? Cruise the bay, pictures at a causeway, food at channelside/quaker steak?

The "All We'll Drive" events were a lot of fun! Haven't heard of anything local in a long time (since the S&R poker runs). I used to try to gather a few people for fun runs, but too often I was the only one showing up at the meetup location. Finally getting nicer out, might have to go for a drive soon.

Hello Everyone,

I’m very new to this forum. I picked up a 18STI last Friday, and will be attending both Subiefest and the event on Dec. 2nd.

I’m looking forward to meeting everyone in the Subi-world. I’ve already got a parts list together and can’t wait to go “Corn Fed”.

I live in Davenport, so I’m not to far from Tamp.

Hello!

I'm new to the community as well. I have an 18 STI and about to start my modification journey in the coming weeks. I've got a COBB turboback exhaust waiting to be installed and am looking forward to get connected into the Tampa Subaru community. If anyone knows of some reputable tuners or good advice on the best modifications to start with, please feel free to message me!

No one uses these anymore. Other forms of social media are much easier and more convenient. Get with the times old man.

So yeah, I'm old. I also have mobility issues. I'm stuck in West Pasco County (Port Richey, Florida) and I swear to God there are NO shops in this area capable of doing simple repair jobs to your car without breaking something (personal experience). I've looked through the car repair reviews for the area close to where I am and I'm coming up empty-handed.

Does anyone know of a shop near New Port Richey with a skilled mechanic? I've asked my local Subaru dealer (grrrrr) about replacing the power window switch in the driver's door and at the time they told me it was too much trouble for a car as old as mine (1999).

I'd do it myself, but I just watched a video of a guy replacing the switch and I'm concerned some of the removing of things aren't at an angle I can get at with a crutch. I'd drive to the 5-Star in Tampa, but I honestly don't think my car would make it that far and I can't get stranded somewhere.

I'm afraid that any of my local mechanics would break the tabs off the door panel or front bezel if I decided to try to get one of them to do it. I've ordered the part so it should be here soon.

Anyone have a suggestion? This is a relatively easy repair and shouldn't take more than an hour. Thanks to anyone who can give me a lead.

Go on amazon and get a trim removal kit. It's plastic tools that shouldn't break anything. Just keep in mind, it's an old car and those door panel clips get very brittle over time. But if you take your time, you can probably get it off without breaking anything. I would recommend buying extra door clips, since they are relatively cheap and just taking your time. If you need help, I bet there are some local enthusiasts who might be willing to help you. Wish I had better advice to offer.

Thanks for the tip on door clips. Living in Florida, it's probably much more likely that the clips are in bad shape and I would never had thought about it.

As for local enthusiasts, I don't know that there are any. It's more of a Mitsubishi town.

IGNORE found a recommendation on Reddit for Wrench Masters.

Cross posting from the South East Regional Forum. Needing a mechanic's help for my son's 02 WRX. It's a daily driver and a bit rough but we've kept it going. Clutch replacement hasn't gone well, and he needs the car (I live 1000 miles away).
