there was a time when the vaults were too full to withstand the rain, a time before learning the best ways to bleed. I spent my time inside, attempting to write it all down, or screaming down the forest roads with no armor in sight. until all at once I was standing at night in the rain, staring blood in the eyes, and laying under a tree with the sun bleeding through, burning in mine.
around midnight, mid-storm, a single light shone on what would be the blade I sought, chainmail to don under the leather, the rope I’d tie around the sun to pull to my chest. ive learned that a secret unseen is a presence never felt...so here we are. first times worldwide...sangre volume001: komorebi / NoAllegiance StreetFighter001 / The BloodMachine. ill update with history, but for now, the present: WIP. links ig: instagram.com/iamnotgodiamsomethingsimilar GDA Impreza WRX sedona red pearl JDM EJ205 Rebuilt (with reinforced compressor wheel) IHI VF39 Tomei turbo inlet Tomei uel manifold Tomei uppipe HKS catless bellmouth downpipe HKS HiPower exhaust HKS intake 650 CC DW injectors Cobb boost controller Lightweight crank pulley Koyorad radiator STi tmic A/C deleted Beatrush pitch stop mount Beatrush motor mounts (sitting on a shelf) ~300WHP tuned by WKD Matt Miner BC BR coilovers with 12k F/R Swift springs Nissan R32/Z32 aluminum brake calipers F/R utilizing KNS adapters and 06 Legacy GT 330mm 5x100 front rotors “some other” rear rotors that came with the calipers, working on that. as far back as I could find. little happened in the initial two years of owning the car. I purchased the car young and despite having wanted one for awhile, I wanted the car to tell me what I wanted to change, and get used to its operation before drastically altering it. just had my HKS exhaust and the first set of coilovers I ran. biggest thing I changed was swapping to a Personal steering wheel, right before... I blew the stock motor and the car sat like this for awhile while I weighed my options. bought some (dream) wheels that weren’t gonna fit for a long time while the car was sitting for months with a blown motor, because that made a lot of sense. I ended up picking up a low mileage JDM EJ205, swapped it in stock and got it running the best it ever had with the help of friends. I would test fit my Advans once a week just to remind myself they didn’t fit, and acquired this very cool and questionably rare old Blitz bucket seat. my largest gripe with the car was always the lack of connection to the driver that it had from the factory. the car felt lifeless. my heart always wanted to attach my veins into the machine and I wanted to physically feel the same. the steering wheel was a massive upgrade and this seat was the knight’s throne i desired. perfect for street fighting. I spec’d out a custom set of BC coilovers around this time, which dramatically altered the machine. they’re 12k F/R with Swift springs. I still run these now, 4 years later and it’s one of the best investments I’ve made. there will likely be one more coilover upgrade from here, but the future is for me and the future to know and learn. I then fulfilled a nearly lifelong dream of running very rawly cut and modified fenders, aligned perfectly with running my favorite wheel and tire setup. a forest full of trees full of incredible fruition. successful mounting via custom AE86/Civic style front fender chop, and Datsun ZG flares in the rear. I was, and am, incredibly pleased with the results...running my favorite wheels and utilizing design elements that I have always loved and yearned for, and the way that they all came together is pleasing to see every single day. not to mention the feeling to finally show the connection and love I have for this machine through its style. it absolutely changed the world for me. the notebook I keep with this machine and me, was filling with writing more than ever at this time. at the same time I mounted another favorite piece, a driver’s side only bullet mirror utilizing the oem mirror base, and a shaved passenger side mount. end of 16 came and my second TD04 of the year began rattling around on my trip home from final bout. fully remaining committed, but unsure of my next move, I locked it in a storage unit inexplicably 2 hours from where I live. picked up pieces to support the VF39 I had rebuilt, strengthened and coated gold which shouldn’t be a shock at this point. I can’t leave anything without my blood all over it, so I spent the downtime making everything don my DNA. Last edited by Fuji Gold; 04-28-2020 at 12:11 AM. |

added to my collection of vehicular esoterica while the car was dead. I really love gauges and instrument clusters. that spring and summer was a mess. I only ever briefly had vehicles to use to travel to and from the car, and spent a majority of my time working on it by walking an hour to the train station, traveling an hour to Boston, walking through the city to the other station, and traveling another hour to my car. Upon arrival I’d work on it with no light (but my own and the sun), no power and a constant look over my shoulder for any type of authority that may have told me I couldn’t be there. I spent all my days off doing this, and throwing all my extra(read: barely any) money into the final parts I needed for the car, as I had accrued all the big pieces over winter. as one might imagine, despite it being a very great story of passion, it was very draining. one day a friend and I pushed the car out of the unit and sent it to live in a (closer in proximity) family member’s front lawn to complete it. got the car running, and tuned, after almost a year of being dead and was incredibly pleased. this was the most work I’d ever done, and I did it entirely on my own. it was far from perfect, but I was able to make the power I wanted, with the parts I wanted and it was and has been very reliable to be driven like ****. someone stole my bullet mirror while parked one night I was finally moving back to providence though, and the car was able to see less stress every day. I drove the car as much as I could until the first snowfall when I parked it. |

best I acquired a big piece to me, that’s still a work in progress now a couple years later...nonetheless, it’s a Version::Select R32 Skyline wing. I picked up a replacement oem side mirror to use the base, and replaced my bullet mirror finally. that same spring I finally made some progress on making the V::S wing fit the terribly shaped GD trunk lid. |

early 19 I scored a Bride for the passenger to feel complete connection to the machine too. far more comfortable than my drivers seat, so I’d change none of it. very cool photos from mid 19 by my friend @high.mileage |

my favorite style of vehicle are all of the old legendary Mid Night Speciall cars, and another big element for me came next in the form of wangan-style driving lights mounted where I had previously deleted the oem fog lights. we used what were once used as led porsche 944 headlights(donated to me by the friend that helped me with this), wired only use the high beam mounted in Jeep headlight housings drilled into the bumper. we then created custom lexan covers that were flush with the bumper and tinted everything yellow. all the work id done on this car, since moving back to the city was done on the (narrow) street outside my apartment. years of this grew tiring, i felt that all of the work i had put in over years was falling apart because of the obscurity of my workplace and how that affected my attention to mending my machine’s ailments. therefore, last summer I moved it into an old dusty warehouse, to repair and to replenish the blood of my blood, and to rejuvenate its soul and my own. |

the visual onslaught is my favorite accomplishment of the months spent gathering dust, partnered by a koyorad and a lot of engine maintenance. it all took me too long but a heart meant to sing is also one that needed sleep. the machine’s and my own. I have never and will never learn any moderation, but I have tried to learn self care amongst my own chaos. I have always wanted the chaos to be beautiful, real and scary and raw and broken and painful, but beautiful. the same warrior who killed the king was found resting in a tree in the nearest forest before he could hear the songs of the townspeople, but he got his rest still. i paired then winter’s brake and cooling upgrades with some more long desired aero in the name of a C-West grille and charge speed Turbo A duct from a MKIII Supra. now we’re up to date. ive meant my words to be short up to here. thank you for listening. 202020 here...we...go... |

picked up a crusty replacement subframe this weekend on the cheap. my brain has been obsessed with replacing all bushings for a very long time, but could never stop fixating on then refreshing and replacing every single element that I’d touch along the way. I’d spiral into doing nothing. I’m utilizing this replacement subframe to clean it all up and change out all the bushings, and upon completion replace the entire subframe. currently researching all my bushing options and it doesn’t seem that any one company makes every bushing for the whole car like I’d prefer. Beatrush is my preference, but they don’t make nearly all the bushings I want. also, seems as if no companies make rear subframe bushings for these cars, am I wrong about this? |

I haven't found the subframe bushings either but the subframe lockout bolts are enough to really firm it up. I have a mix of bushings in my car, but Super Pro makes basically every bushing possible for this car and I've good luck with the pieces I have bought from them. My advice, try not to get hung up on having everything from one company alone. Some companies have multiple options of density allowing you to really find the feel you're looking for while driving. This is why I have a mix of TiC, Kartboy and Super Pro.

I have a set of lockout bolts coming that I’ll probably throw in before even finishing refreshing this subframe. Commitment to different very authentic quality Japanese companies has always been valuable to me, especially since that’s what I know best. Outside of that being able to maintain keeping it all to one company makes things a lot easier to organize in my brain. I appreciate the input, I’ll look more into Super Pro considering the amount of their stuff I’ve seen while looking around. |

I enjoyed this very much. Like a great article from Sport Compact Car magazine from the 90's(which I miss a great deal).
