I have one cat in now. I am replacing it with a catless downpipe.

I have one cat in the down pipe now and will replace it with a aftermarket high flo piece soon. I don't have a prob with boost spikes. But when i put the vf-30 on the fbc would bounce the boost from 15-10 psi in higher gears though this seems to be going away( ithink that the computer is smart)

There will be no spiking. However, the overall boost might go up a bit. I'm running vishnu up-pipe, turboxs turbo back with race pipe (catless) and getting about 15psi.

Default Ya, boost will go up

I just put a vf23 on a catless 3inch exhaust and my boost was going upto 18.5psi. So I had to use an MBC o controll it.

I am also wondering about this issue. I am running full catless exhaust system, and have not experienced any boost spikes.
However, I want to add a boost controller, will it be safe? Also which MBC will be a good choice?
