It drives better than the 2012-2016 Impreza for sure. Much nicer interior too. Definitely check out a Sport or Limited, especially for Android Auto/Apple Carplay.

Thanks for the feedback, my sister has an ‘18 Crosstrek which I need to take for a test drive

It’s possible the previous owner did something to to car to change this, but who knows. Took it to a dealer but they said it’s as designed
On a legacy? Highly doubt that. Is it possible maybe you have some sort of health issue where you have lost some sort of feeling in your feet? We pulled my grandfathers license when this happened because he'd floor it everywhere and slam on the brakes. Like I said, I don't think I've ever heard any type of complaint on this issue with a legacy let alone there being any type of reflash for it. To me it seems pretty silly to not be able to get used to your throttle inputs on your vehicle enough to want to get rid of it.... You said you came from a 12' impreza which is balls slow, is it maybe this car is just faster and has more tq and you think it feels weird? If I were to pick one Subaru to have and not have multiple cars like I do now it would be a Legacy. Since I don't need it I went with an Impreza. I wish you luck in what you want in a car, I just think you need to realize it's just you. lol

Where in MA are you? I might be able to meet up and show you the Sport too. I'm near Fall River.

I work in Milford, just off 109 and over Main Street, behind the newish Stop & Shop. If you ever want to check out my Impreza before or after work or during lunch I'd be down to meet up. I have Wednesdays and Thursdays off, but it's nothing for me to drive there on my off days. Obviously weekends are pretty much open too. Saturdays after 1pm or Sundays before 2pm.

My Impreza will drive a little different because it's on BC Racing coilovers, but engine and CVT performance will be normal.

We could just do a weekend mini-meet with KC too.

Tires and wheels are on order. She's still pretty sexy though. They look good together if you ask me.

Any here who've towed a light trailer with their '17 Impreza?

I just bought a used one, 5-speed. Then reading manual see towing's highly discouraged?

Please enlighten me as to why this is? How does using 4WD affect towing dynamics?

This isn't a camper, total weight's less than 400 pounds all up. Tongue weight on previous tow ing vehicle (2013 MINI Cooper Clubman) around 35 pounds. Had zero issues with this and prior combinations with small FWD vehicles.

Looking for reasons to avoid invoking Buyer's Remorse clause & clock's ticking...

I have a 2016 Impreza. As I read the manual, it has nothing to do with 4WD (AWD). The AWD CrossTrek is rated for 1,000 lbs or 1.500 lbs with trailer brakes. Perhaps its cooling system and transmission are upgraded for towing.
