Default will 1998 legacy gt hood (with scoop) fit as a replacement for 1998 legacy L hood?

just wondering...i am about to buy a 1998 legacy L wagon and i was wondering if the 1998 legacy GT wagon's hood can be swapped out with out any major adjustments.


thanks and if this has already been addressed i am sorry. i looked.

bolt-on, you shouldn't have any problems.

Yup no problems, did it myself on a 95L, just order the parts from like a 97 or so and when you get them if you're ordering them from somewhere make sure you get the actual scoop piece too because its seperate from the hood.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did u pay for it - i have been trying to get one for the longest, but the subaru dealer out here wants $365!!

that doesnt sound like a horrible price for a new hood and scoop...

if price is an issue, check ebay or junk yards.

Yeah mine was about 350ish from the dealer. Theres always JDM turbo ones on ebay for really cheap though. Just pick one of those up.

i'm gonna try to find one from a junkyard, i'm sure it would be cheaper than that, along with a set of alloys.

i'll let you guys know when that happens and post some picks.
