Is Wiki an option???

Not that I know how to use it - not even close - but all what I've heard says it is a very good tool to do this kind of stuff.

I may be able to get someone to implement it, shall people be willing to help.

Comments??

Cheers,

A wiki would be a great frontend for it.

Nice link, I will have to include that one. I definately need to do some editing to my HU FAQ anyway, but it may take a few days.

The Wiki idea is intriguing, I will look into that.

PS I was out of town all last week, hence why I wasn't seen on the boards at all. So I have plenty of work piled up to catch up on and may be a little slow at getting some revisions made and stuff like that.

Thanks Dave, I gladly accept anything you want to add. Some day I will find the time to go back and edit some stuff and add this link in to the top. If you have any feedback on the rest of this stuff feel free to PM me.

Just thought a decent sound deadening tutorial should be in here.

You know, I really should have just included that link for now since I have been too busy to work on that FAQ (which will greatly draw from that post anyway).

another link you may wanna include is a the12volt(dot)com . It's one of the best forums I know of for real information (technical), plus if you ask for help, there are plenty of people that will try their best to help you, even if you don't get the technical aspect.

Also, it's really annoying that you have to have 5 posts to post a hyperlink. What's the point of that.

Hey, offset, maybe you can add a couple sites for getting good audio equipent.

speedsound.com for a lot of high end stuff.
speakercity.com for lots of drivers, a lot of unheard of companies, but some really good drivers
madisound.com for more speakers, perfect for the DIY crowd.

Then, maybe a section of good online classifieds.
ECA, CarAduio, and SoundDomain have my favorite classifieds.

Thanks for the ideas Burn. I like the idea of the online classifieds, but I would have guessed it was redundant conisdering I list them as forums. What I should do is add a line or two mentioning that those sites also have good classified sections. As for the other stores... Madisound I agree with, speedsound I have heard of but no idea how reputable they are, and speakercity I hadn't seen before. I mainly made the list of places I would personally trust (which is a bit of a balance on pricing versus reliability). I just got back from vacation so I am super busy lately and it will take me a little time to hit the edit button.

Thanks,

Even though I am personally not a fan of rear speakers, it is still a very nice write-up and worth adding into the rest of this info. I will probably add it to the Cabin Speaker's Buyer's Guide as I think it is more pertinent there though. Very nice contribution.

Thanks,

good call,
The rear deck worked best for my applacation. The beauty of this method is that its not just limited to the rear deck. I have seen alot of people use it to make boxes that tuck into a corner of the trunk.
I mention this to inspire, not to be difficult.
I am glad you appreciated it.

Premier-Audio

They have some really good stuff on there at really good prices.

Yes they have. I should have remembered to come back and take their link out of here. This is reason again to head the warnings about buying from some online vendors with caution. They dropped out in major doubt and leaving a lot of people without products that they paid for at the end.

Just a quick suggestion, is there any way to update the speaker sizes to include the more recent model years? I know they are the same but unless I missed it, it's not actually listed anywhere. Just a thought.

You should try starting a new thread for this question to make sure everyone will see it properly and provide some good help. From your description I would suggest checking at what point you connected the stock speaker wire to the xover. What wire did you connect from the stock deck to the xover (and please answer in the new thread you start )
