New Fuel Pressure Regulator Problem?
I installed a Tomei Type-S FPR on my 2002 wrx with the stock fuel rails. I have the adjustment screw backed all the way out on the FPR and cannot get the pressure lower than 4 kg/cm2 (this is what the gauge reads) or 57psi. When I attach the vacuum source it will go down to about 3.5 kg/cm2 or 50psi. Is this okay? I know a custom tune will be in order for these pressures, but if I could get the pressure to the stock 43.5 I would be happier.

Today I removed the return line and put it straight from the regulator into a gas can to see if there was a return line restriction. Sane pressures. Any help?

Turns out I bought a knock off on accident. Getting a real one on the way and will see what results I get.

Have you gotten the new / real regulator? If so have you fixed your problem?

Yes, with the genuine regulator I was able to set proper fuel pressure.
