Gauging interest - RCE Rally Springs
Over the past year, Racecomp Engineering has been developing and testing a dedicated rally lift spring for the Subaru BRZ platform. This spring is designed to work with your factory dampers for increased ride height and improved handling on dirt, gravel, and snow. It'll be outrageously fun.
If you're interested in the Subaru BRZ lift springs or you would like to be notified about future RCE Rally spring projects for WRX and STI, please see the form at the following link: https://forms.gle/qB1bkRKh2k34C4VP7 Yes, we'd like to offer similar rally-focused springs for Subaru WRX and STI and we're very interested in hearing your feedback. Not a full stage rally suspension, but perfect for the weekend rally cross enthusiast or gravel road specialist. Part of the process with the BRZ springs has been a DEEP dive into rally suspension. We're not just raising the car, we've carefully chosen spring rates to actually increase the capability of the car on lower grip surfaces. The BRZ springs have been an exciting project and we can't wait to share it with you. Tell your friends, share the link, and get ready to get dirty!

One thing that's frustrating with other lift springs is the actual specifications can be very vague or it's just a looks only focused design. That won't be the case here.
For the nerds, our BRZ springs will have suspension frequencies around 1.6 Hz. That is a bit stiffer than stock and performance on tarmac should still be quite good. The lift for BRZ springs is set at 15mm. That's some nice extra bump travel. Not a massive lift, but it ensures that you still have some droop travel. The goal again is increased performance and compatibility with factory dampers. We would probably be in the same ballpark for WRX and STI, with stiffer rear springs than front for the 08+ platforms. But a long way to go for those cars. We've got some pretty intelligent and experienced rally people on this forum, so I would be interested in hearing your thoughts! Again, not a stage rally set up...but something fun and usable. |

Very interested for the GD/GG platform rather than running top hat spacers.

After the BRZ springs we have some decisions to make. The current world situation does make things slightly complicated but we're powering ahead.
We've got lots of feedback and we'll let the survey run for a couple more days. Right now 2015 WRX and STI have plenty of votes, followed by GD platform. Overall, we're very happy with the interest! |

For the GD, how are these going to compare with the King Springs, which raise about 1.4-1.5"? Higher/lower rates, are they intermediate between the stock height and the Kings?

Still early for the GD springs...but we probably wouldn't raise the car as high as that. So yes somewhere in between stock and King. You do still need some droop travel and raising that high eliminates a lot of it.
But we'll do some analysis and be pretty transparent about all of it when the time comes. - Andrew |
