Default Air pump switching Valve 2 (LH) stuck closed

Seems to be a common problem. Has anybody done the delete themselves or can recommend a shop that will do it? Dealer is trying gouge, obviously.

Had it done on our 07 FXT a few years back by InFront Automotive in Auburn (I realize not ideal location for being north). They had it done quickly and as we have an Accessport able to clear the code.
You Could reach out to Drive Autosports as they are in Woodinville and I hear good things. Can’t confirm they offer this service though.

I’m in the midst of deleting it on my ‘12 WRX.

Easy to pull the pump and kill the codes. If you want to delete all the tubing and other bits, it gets progressively harder. The hardest on mine will be the passenger side tube as it’s behind the upipe with limited access.

For now, I just pulled the pump and covered the tube. No problems thus far.

I’ll second the plug for Drive Autosports in woodinville. They’ve been awesome to work with.

They’ll be doing my flex fuel tune, so I put a deposit down and they helped kill the codes within 2 hours of calling.

Hi

Would you know if a 98 impreza window motor fits a forester of the same year?

Default Another plug for Drive

I had Drive in Everett delete my whole secondary air injection system and kill the CELs with my Accessport. They even updated the maps to get rid of the extra fuel dump that happens when the SAI system is supposed to be active during startup. No sense dumping extra fuel on the cats when the air injection isn't there. They have been great to work with. They're my go-to shop for anything I can't do myself or that needs a lift.

Are your valves stuck shut? if so you may be able to just pull the relay and fuse, then get the codes wiped via tuner.

edit: i should add that i blanked off mine at the valves and wasn't able to get a good tight seal despite OEM gaskets and good sturdy blanking plates. I was getting a pretty big exhaust leak under load until i had Drive delete my whole system.

I had my tuner install block off plates from KS tech when my air pump failed. I tuned out the codes in accesstuner but your tuner could also do it.
