You're not even close to 60lbs if you're wearing reg stuff. Not a chance.

It was only a matter of time before Rasta chimed in from his soggy, dismal grey wasteland.

Don't get me wrong; I know it's heavy. I also know it's hot as hell in that stuff, but it's not 60lbs heavy. Lugging 60lbs around really really sucks. When I wear my IA(initial attack) gear it's close to 50lbs. Then when we go EA(extended) it's over 60lbs and you can barely walk up the damn hill

What's with the dick-waving contest? You don't have to be a hosehead or jarhead to carry heavy gear around. Us civilians can carry heavy **** and not whine about it. Here's a pic of my treestand strapped down on a mil-spec molle frame:

That treestand is nearly 30 lbs. by itself. Now strap a daypack with all of my gear and a 2L water bladder on to the back of the stand and you're looking at 50-55 lbs. easy. Oh, and don't forget your bow or rifle! Now go back a few miles into rough terrain with everything on. Now, climb 20 ft. up in a tree.

Agreed. I miss the weather/beauty of Portland but not the hippies and hipsters.

97 here in SLC. Not too bad, but 9% humidity makes it nearly impossible to sweat, so you just over heat instantly.

Ive thought about fixing the daily's a/c but then I remember it's a 1985 Toyota Cressida. Maybe it just needs freon....I should check.

Not I. California weather is boring. **** never changes. When I was out there for a week, it was 70 and sunny every day. I'll gladly put up with some muggy summer swamp ass-type weather so long as it means I get to see some change throughout the year. The leaves changing in fall, winter snow... I wouldn't miss them for the world.
