I wasted my time watching The Reckoning
I'm not entirely sure why I continued watching it.
It wasn't good, and the story was just poorly written

Space force. Holy F. There are a few direct shots across the bow of your present administration. If Donal figures out Netflix on his device...... this could be the end

It gets less believable at the end. Still, it's good silly fun, and Carell and Malkovich are very good together.
Spoilers ahead: well, not spoilers, just possibly more specific than Rogue.

That is a pretty, well, nice opinion of the show. Some ups of silly, lots of just weird, and too much not sure if serious but trying to be serious while not being serious. Funny, but not "haha" funny.

I really liked the first episode or two, then it got dull, then it got really dull, then it got really weird and hokey.

Sprinkled throughout are some bright sparkling crystals surrounded by crud. The bright spots, surely a few times an episode, are even sometimes fantastic. Malkovich is good, and on some occassions, does what he does best. I swear one scene was the NASA equivalent of con-air.

The last couple episodes though, yikes, however, I was really a fan of the finale for the first 1/3 or 1/2, then, just....wow. WOW.

Major let down. Not at bad as Another Life, but, oof.

Greg Daniels has awkward/not great first seasons (The Office and Parks and Recreation), so I'm gonna wait for Season 2 before I jump on this bandwagon. Thanks for the feedback.

Just couldn’t get into it. Didn’t think the wrong Missy (the actual actress) was funny at all

Watched Extraction last night ... with a big bag of popcorn and a couple of beers it was enjoyable. A thicker John Wick in Bangladesh. Not a ton of substance ... but the action scenes were stunning

Yeah. There was pretty much no redeeming quality to this movie. All the Happy Madison film schmaltz without any of the charm, and near none of the humor. When you can say that Rob Schneider is the best part of a movie, well...

Couldn’t do it. I semi liked the first episode with a fairly competent guy having all kinds of crap thrown at him. The second just went off the rails. Lost all hope in everyone.

No idea if it gets better.

I've watched about half of space force. I thought the first few episodes had some marginally funny bits in them. Ep 4/5 are meh at best. I'll probably watch the rest just for the sake of watching it.

Missy. Meh. The actress from Jurassic World dialed it in to a tee.

My problem with the movie was mostly with the way it was shot and edited in an unnecessary frantic and uneven pace. I suppose it may have been done for dramatic effect, but it was distracting at times.

Reminded me of the frantic scenes from Blow. But an entire movie of nothing but that.

Finished Hollywood the other night.

It was good but very heavy on the racial and gay prejudice. That's not a bad thing but it's definitely not historically accurate.

I loved Malkovich's character. If anything, they should feature the supporting castmembers more and put less focus on Naird. People expecting this to be anything like the Office will be disappointed. I like that it did not try to be like The Office or any of Greg's previous shows.

Can't wait until S3 of Mindhunter is released. Watched S1 & S2 twice so far.

Recently ran through The Office from start to finish, had only watched parts of episodes here and there when it was on air. I really enjoyed the final few episodes and how they tied it all up.

Also watched Community start to finish just before The Office. The last two seasons were meh, but 1-4 were great.

Decided to try out Dead To Me a few days ago, I started the first episode a month ago and couldn't really get into it. Saw it was still trending so I figured why not, and it was better than I expected but not really what I was expecting.

And started first episode of Space Force last night, got about halfway into it before I had to take care of some **** around the house and crash out for work. I'll give it another go as I'm a fan of many on the cast. I wouldn't expect it to be like the Office, and I do find humor in poking fun at the current administration.

edit, forgot I also binged through Arrested Development.

Patriot Act with Hasan Minaj is always a great watch. He really dives into the topics, the episode "The Broken Policing System" is very apropos for the current times.

The wife and I are currently going through two docuseries:

Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich
Self explanatory as far as the topic. Sure, there was a lot of coverage on the guy after his "accident" in jail, but holy ****, i had no idea of just how bad it was. I still have couple of episodes left, but so far, it is done very well and pretty eye-opening.
If you want to rage watch something, this is a good one.

Trial by Media
The series covers some of the more infamous trials of recent memory and how they were affected by the media and public reaction.
Each episode covers a separate case. I think there are 6 total.
Goetz, Blagoevich, Diallo, etc.

Both are well done documentaries, although I probably shouldn't have started watching them concurrently. When I am watching Trial By Media, I keep thinking about the Epstein doc and vice versa.

I watched maybe the first 3 episodes or so. Which part did you find inaccurate? I'm ignorant to the topic, and curious.

I love Malkovich in general.

Him in space force was a nice surprise for me (had not watched any trailers)
