I think I found what you were looking for. It describes the differences in 02/03 brake pads:

Hello guys,
Can someone please tell me the Subaru reference number for Brake booster with badge on it: 864-06318 it is listed as STI brake booster but i cannot find the Subaru number .. if any it should be 26402FE280 for RH or 26402FE290 for LH I saw another booster with ref 864-06319 and it was LH. So is this correct: 26402FE290 LH 864-06319 26402FE280 RH 864-06318 ? What do you think/know? Thank you in advance. Cheers! |

I have a 2003 forester X with WRX struts but I have rear drum ONLY brakes. I want to swap to rear disc brakes.
Do I need to swap out the knuckle only from a 2004 WRX or do I need to swap out the axles also? |

check leaking cv axles or check for any differential gear oil or tanny fluid. At time the cause of sticky brakes or brake drag can be due to fluid contamination that came from somewhere either in front end or rear end situation. Most of what i come by can be also clogged brake lines or pistons. but that require more diagnosis and special tools. But easy way is to check for any fluid leak that you might see around your brakes like rotors or near hub or knuckle. this can have a serious effect on fuel consuption and feels as if car has loss of power.

I am doing research and here's my interpretation of your inquiries: Increasing the rotor estimate alone may do only enable it to run somewhat cooler and just in the event that you are truly pushing the breaking points. They will be heavier. Without expanding the cushion territory you won't achieve much, in the event that anything. The rotors should be a good thickness.

Anyone know if Andros Spec J wheels will clear 04 Brembos
New WRX owner, new to NASIOC... I couldn't find this anywhere and as a new NASIOC member I can't start my own thread yet. Sorry if this isn't the best place to post this question.
Anyone know if Andros Spec J wheels will clear 04 Brembos on a bugeye? I can get a cheap set with good snows on them, but I would rather not drive all the way there just to pull a wheel, test fit them, and find that they don't clear. Thanks for any help you can give. |

Slowly, and in a grown-up voice... I can't find any info about the wheels' offset online, so... I searched the Forum but "Andros Spec J" didn't have any relevant hits, so... I tried to start a thread, but I can't start a new thread because I am a new member (I think it's a spam-prevention thing), so... I thought since it was a brake thread and my question regarded brake clearance, this might be the right place, but apologized if it wasn't... Evidently that's not good enough for you. Sorry - like I said, I am brand new at this site. You probably were once, too. As to your suggestions... I could post it on the wheel and tire portion of the forum, now that I know it would be a better spot, but I still can't start a new thread - are you thinking replies will be less hostile there, or are you just really, um, focused on things being in the right spot? Why are you thinking a thread about 2015 wheel fitment would be helpful to a question about clearing 2004 Brembos on a bugeye WRX? Wheel Dude doesn't even have a search function and isn't an Andros dealer as far as I can discern. Why are you thinking that site would be helpful to me? Meanwhile, the tires are 235/45 17s, but why would that would influence whether the wheel will clear the Brembos or not? I posted my question here because I thought someone might know about these specific wheels and be able to give me a quick and easy answer. You don't and can't. Fair enough. Most of the other car forums I am active on, that's a good time to just keep mum. But like I said, I'm new here. |
