Hello fellow owners Newbie here
Hey guys, I just wanted to introduce myself. I recently bought a new (old) 1997 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport.
I was in the market for something affordable and AWD. Here’s a bit about the car. I found it for $700 and she was a bit rough, usual rust around the rear fenders (common here in Canada). A couples dents, sun faded paint and not so pretty, however functional. When it comes to the drivetrain it’s a 2.2L with the automatic transmission. When buying I did the usual inspection and noticed numerous oil leaks, however the oil looked good and head gaskets were not a problem. So I bought car, got it home and went to work. I put $500 of parts into it and 6 1/2” hours of my own labor and she’s running fine with no apparent leaks at the moment. Here’s a list of all the stuff I have done so far... Done over the course of last week. Air filter Knock sensor Driver visor Rear passenger window LED lights all around Oil change Spark plugs Spark plug wires Valve cover gasket Fuel filterPower steering pump seal kit Rear window defogger Locking gas cap Oil pressure sensor O-ring oil fill tube Front right running light assembly Rewire radio(2 speakers not connected behind radio) (one speaker not connected in door)
