BURNING4ORCE member tune review
I want to write a review for a member on this forum by the name of BURNING4ORCE. I had some questions regarding my upcoming vf39 swap and tuning the vehicle after the swap, after a few of my posts on here BURNING4ORCE contacted me and said he could help. I was very hesitant at first as i didnt know who he was, and to have someone I don't know tuning my car? It definitely is scary. After emailing back and forth with him for a while I soon realized his knowledge of subaru's. He wanted to see some datalogs of my current stage 2 map (cobb ots) while I was waiting to install the parts for my vf39 swap. After he saw the logs he made some changes and the car felt absolutely amazing. Way better than the cobb ots tune. So I gave him the option of doing my car after the vf39. He is located a great distance away from me so e tuning was the only way. He assured me he was never going to do anything to make the car unsafe or feel as if it could be with a map. We started doing logs and revisions and my car kept throwing up issue after issue setting us back, but BURNING4ORCE always was patient for me to get the problems dealt with. We finally got everything figured out and the car runs phenomenal. I wanted to write this review for people like me who are skeptical of him at first. Having someone tune your car who you don't know is scary, but I wanted to share my experience. He was on vacation from the moment we started tuning. He was always responsive. Never more than a few hours at the absolute most for a revision or answer to any questions. His responses were always extremely detailed and he always explained what changes he was making during the tune. My experience with him is 110%. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a quality tune at a great price. He knows his stuff and is very helpful and quick with everything. My car tested his patience and he always was helpful to get through the issue. He spent his whole vacation helping me get the car ready. That was his free time and he still decided to help me. I wouldn't hesitate to use him and neither should you.

Thanks a ton Zack for taking your time to write a review it's greatly appreciated. Really helps break the ice. I've helped countless guys on the boards over the years just really the only guy brave enough to type one. The e-tuning process would have not been possible if you weren't handy with the wrench and follow instructions to a tee specially with all the curve balls your car threw at us so I'm not gonna take all the credit.

Want to add on to this post. He also contacted me and I was also very weary about it. I’ve never heard of him and trusting someone to do something with your car that is out of your hands makes your heart beat a little. After I saw the review by Zackwbutler, I had a little more confidence. Hopefully this will instill more confidence in people who are weary. I went stage 2 and I was only making 14 psi. The car felt awful. Burning4orce reached out to me, and over the course of a couple weeks and some wrenching we had my car up to a consistent and reliable 17psi. Now my car feels better than it ever did. Very nice power curve. Sadly we were limited by CA octane, but I’m still very happy with where my car is. As Zachwbutler mentioned, he was always super quick to respond with advice or a new tune. It way always the same day too, even if it was very late. All in all, he is a great tuner and great guy.

Think I'll reach out to him, I noticed in the Steam Turbo thread he tuned an STi with a setup thats almost identical to what mine will be after I break in my motor (DW850cc, Steam STX67 turbo).

Just wanted to update this as I had someone ask me about BURNING4ORCE. I was also E tuned by him and ran that tune for a long time before getting a dyno tune. He was great to deal with and a wealth of knowledge. Tune ran problem free and he was always just a quick email away if I had any troubles or questions.
Should you get tuned by him? Absolutely, if he can accomodate I would highly reccomend to anyone. Thanks for your help Ron! |
