Default "Short" lug nuts for wheels?

I'm getting AVID SL02 for my 2009 WRX and, looking for lug nuts that don't stick out, I see that most go about 1.35 to 1.38 inches in length. There are a few that go about 1.26 inches.

AVID said the nut area is about 1 inch in length. So, are there tuner lug nuts of that length, maybe less?

if they have solid ends they have to ensure they won't bottom out or you'd be in trouble.

You may want to get open end? Then they can be very short but obviously you'll see the end of the stud

I understand; no, I don't want open ended lugs. But, if there's something closer to 1 inch, close end, where could I get it?

McGard Spline Drives are fairly short

Edit: are you looking for "short" or small diameter, "tuner" style lugs? I think the McGards should work for either

Both...short length tuner lugs.

Yes, McGard has them, but expensive.

On that page, all seem to be over 1 inch, even the McGards. About the price, the least expensive is $54; Amazon has ones at $20, about same length of McGard.

I doubt you're going to find closed lug nuts that are shorter than that. As rtv900 said, they're all designed to ensure the stud can't bottom out inside the lug nut, and they have to account for production variances in wheel stud length and thickness of the mounting hub of the wheel.

Kyo-ei P103B-19-16P (black) P103-19-16P (chrome) are 22mm long and closed end.
They are made for kei cars though so only come in packs of 16.
