I have killer b headers with EWG setup on my 2020 Rex. Personally not a fan of the sound but love the performance!

All the more reason to do this bypass mod because the car will sound like a V8 when it opens

Is the EWG plumbed back into the exhaust? Mine just dumps next to the DP and it sounds crazy when it opens.

I have open dump EWG as well. So it is combined together with another open dump wastegate as exhaust bypass. Open dump everything = the world splits apart when I'm in boost

Ahhh, spring pressure. I'm very interested in this. Too many straight piped scat packs around here.

How do you figure? He's showing gains from a less restrictive turboback here.

definitely get that. Thanks for sharing your findings.

Yes, manifold pressure ratio (int/exh pressures) is very important but so is the delta P across the turbine housing.

You can see the dump tube just above his exhaust "cut out" in the pic.

8000 miles and this bypass is still holding up. Perfectly quiet while cruising and no leaks. Sudden heart attacking inducing scream for people doing the speed limit in the left lane then the car becomes completely quiet afterwards

Would you see a bigger boost gain with a Bypass or blowoff?

I don't know man... the 'Tsuu tsu tsu tsu tsu tsu' of dosing / off throttle surge sounds pretty slick.

Gotta love the tsu tsu tsu.

I get pretty nice off throttle compressor surge with my Turbosmart Plumb-Back BPV on my VF39 when I didn't used to with the stock BPV.

do you think this mod would see similar results if mounted in the catback before the mufflers? not a lot of room on my 2016.

You could do that, but the results probably won’t be as good. The best place to put it would be on the downpipe for performance

basically creating an on demand open downpipe! Sound awesome. Definitely would need a tune, richer fuel and tailored timing curve, but its no wonder you see a nice bump in power. old school hot rodding 101

I really want to do this, but also don't want to waste a bunch of money if I'm not generating enough backpressure for this to help. Hmmm!

Aren't you running a G30-900 on a .61 housing?

I imagine there is certainly enough back pressure for this to be beneficial.
