This is actually exciting.
Wonder if they will use it to debut the new car. |

Seems Toyota is putting a lot of emphasis on rally with the Gazoo Racing team so this should be good promo for Subaru.

^ this IS a subaru forum
Would be cool if they debut the new car that way, but I somehow doubt it. Still, cool to see Subaru back at it. |

Its been what, 10 years since Block drove a Subaru in these videos? Its actually a change of pace and an opportunity for something different, which is good. |

A decade later still EJ257ing!
Praise the SubaruVapeLords gymkhana is back STi style. But I am a fan of Travis, he's been in action sports forever - seems like a genuine person! Nitro Circus was a great production by his team. |

Yeah I'm actually excited because of Pastrana. He seems like a cool dude, like Bucky Lasek. Subaru returning ensures that it'll hold relatively better quality.
I still think the Higgins Isle of Mann videos are some of the best Subaru PR stunt videos. |

I met Travis in 2005 at Heuberger for a Pikes Peak event. Before he drove officially for Subaru. He drove a Red Bull STi up and it broke sometime after he passed us at Devils playground. Anyway, he was probably the coolest dude ever. SOOOOOO happy to take pics with everyone and when he ran out of folks, was happy to be going around and talking to people. I was an absolute fan from that day. That's also when I got to see my first 22B. |

Super nice drivers, freakin awesome car. LOVED listening to that thing idling away with the anti-lag. Deafening inside the service bay. Brup brup brup brup. Those were good days, that was a fun year - traded my ***8216;04 WRX for a showroom ***8216;05 STI from Denver. Those were the days BEFORE Heuberger starting becoming #1. Way better deals were to be had in Denver and Boulder. |

No kidding. I almost got a Subaru from Denver instead of Alaska because the deals were so much better.
I think I remember when that accident happened. Crazy how much time has flown by. |

So this was a couple years after. Mark and Roger were in their accident in 2003. I don't think Rally Team USA was back yet. The only drivers there I remember were Travis, Patrick and Natalie Richard and Julie Stepan(then). It's been a minute. I could be missing some drivers. That's the year I started paying attention to Heuberger's sales. They were in the top three at the time; but, just so. It was the next few years that he started his climb ultimately getting to twice the sales of the #2 dealership at one point. Now he sits around #6 . |

There's a lot more to the story about why he's #6. All the little dealers ganged up on him and his success and demanded/cried SoA slow his role... . SoA did, and that was that.
His prices still cannot be beat. Still the best dealer in the nation in the middle of the hoghest concentration of Subaru's anywhere. Still #1 for me and most others that know the real story. |

2003 Mark and Roger died at Oregon Trail Rally. I was there.
I think Vermont took over SRT builds around the time Pastrana and everyone came on board. I coordinated the Oregon Trail Rally at the dealership I worked at in '09 and talked with all those dudes who did the then new Gymkhana II video. That was a pretty cool time and launched Subaru into a whole new era of popularity. Last edited by 4S-TURBO; 05-31-2020 at 03:27 PM. Reason: '09 not '08 |

More of the fact that after SOA began holding them to their AOR, the other dealers started selling similarly to him. There is a dealer in our district that we used to beat in sales. They double us now. They are closer to yet another dealer that started similar sales practiced forcing them to. It would be interesting to here what you heard as the "real story" to what I heard as the "real story". |
