I downloaded the stage 1+ and the change in power from 1 to 1+ was impressive. The turbo spools so much faster and I hit 22.3 PSI very fast. Question for you guys. In 3rd gear WOT I hit 22psi at first then it tapers down to 19-20 @ 4500 rpm and down to 17psi around 5000 rpm. Kinda runs outta gas. FKL was 1.41 at around 5000 rpm. DAM @1 the whole time. Another pull was in 4th gear WOT. This time it jumped to 21 PSI and fell to 14-15 psi at around 4300 rpm. Felt like I hit a wall. Any ideas what this could be?
The 20+ numbers are over boost that only persists for a very brief moment, the lower numbers are the actual boost numbers. If I recall correctly MAP targets 16-18 with those tunes so you’re probably right where you should be.

Watch boost and boost error to confirm.

So I have a 2017 STI, parts ordered so far. AP V3, up-pipe w/ dump tube and Tial external waste gate. I currently have a cattless DP, and SRS CB exhaust thinking about going with the divorced grimmspeed catted DP I am not sure. Also have cold air intake. My question I guess is what can I put on without a pro-tune. I put on the catless DP for a few days just to play around and the O2 sensor would go off randomly so I put the stock DP back on if I wanted to go back to the cattless will I run the risk of blowing up my motor? I am only making 19.1 PSI with the cold air intake stage one map and CB exhaust. This is my first STI I am new to the game so all knowledgeable advise is welcome thanks.

Take a look around the forum, there’s a ton of info out here if you know where to look. Which brings me to my next point, your STI has an EJ series engine and you are posting this in the FA series engine thread. Completely different platforms.

In terms of tuning and parts. OTS (off the shelf) maps are never going to be as good as a protune. And if the OTS map isn’t specifically for the parts you have, you’re asking for trouble. Long story short, do some research, don’t just throw parts on and run them because you will blow your ***** up. And that will cost more than a protune...

Anyone know if there are any updates to the MAP Stage 1 Tune?

I'm running Revision v375.00 and I was wondering if they released an updated one with some minor refinements.

We just got our AP from MAP and the tune I was provided today by them was v3.75 so doesn't sound like it's changed.

The file was "MAPerformance Stg1 SD-93oct vHTN"

Also on a MAP Stage 1+ 93 oct for about 2 weeks now.

Love it! Feels snappier than the cobb.

Took a while to learn both with ac on and of... af learning trims are averaging out under +-10% with only a few spikes.

Boost does peak between 21psi to 22psi, sometimes 23psi but that is temp dependent.

It holds anywhere between 15 to 18 psi depending on temps, gear, etc etc.

So far so good.. only complaint is that I should have went stage 2 from the get go. Lol

Just checked mine again, for the 2015 PR2 it is a .FRN. I never had any issues with it.

Anyone know how long it takes for the ECU to relearn parameters? Just got an AP on Friday and flashed with the COBB Stage 1 OTS map, noticed that it sucked gas hard for the first 50km or so. Have a MAP Stage 1 OTS tune on the way since I read it's actually better than the COBB tune.

Completely stock 2020 wrx. I flashed the Ma performance stage 1 93 tune on my stock 2020 wrx. It ran amazing and then after some time learning it was doing a surging on light throttle. It didnt hit full boost. It didnt feel nearly as strong. I went back to cobb stage 1 93 for 2 weeks. I tried the ma stage 1 93 tune again last week. The car did the same thing. Ran strong and hit 22 psi. Then by the next day it was surging and not nearly as fast. I dont know wtf is the deal with this map. The cobb map runs fine on the car..

That sucks! I haven't heard of any issues with MA Performance maps ..

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. The dam stayed at 1.0 .No cel, used 93 octane since it was new. It is just soo strange that it happened after the car learned 2 times 2 weeks apart. Im just using the cobb stage 1 93 map for now.

The MA performance stage 1 93 they sent me. The car runs strong as hell at first and 22 psi. Then aout 50 miles in it starts to hesitate and surge at cruise under light acceleration. I also dont see max boost either. I tried this 2 times with the same results. IDK

And what's your exact mechanical setup on your car now for this stg 1 93oct map? I assume you are using 93oct fuel.

I just reflashed the Cobb map. The MA performance tune started surging and hesitating again at cruise and light acceleration. Im done with their map. The cobb maps have no issues. I used a torqued performance stage 3.52 swap map for 10 years on my 08 wrx i recently sold with never an issue.

Anybody else having any issues with MAPERFORMANCE STG1 tunes? If there is a problem with the tune, can a data log be sent to them to resolve the issue ?or just flash the tune and hope for the best ?
