Im not in rush too. But that's the only TS option for now. A divided V-band would be nice too!

you got about 10psi at about 4000rpm and 30psi at about 4900rpm

the extra volume of a 2.5L would make this turbo come alive a bit earlier.
Thanks for sharing, but this picture is a piece of sh**.
Don't get me wrong, 330 kW is plausible, but 1051 Nm @ 5084 rpm?
The most basic formula every car guy should know doesn't comply:
P = 2 * Pi * M * n
n = rps
M = torque in Nm
P = Power in W
Pi = 3,1416....

1051 Nm @ 5084 rpm would mean 560 kW @ 5084 rpm. Yeah, right..

Yeah, for those using standard units, 1051Nm = 775 ft-lb

Makes me wonder if that's a loading on the dyno arm or something. You'll see if gives motive forces too. Seems quite odd to be on the graph, but you can see RPM is derived from MPH and thus why there is no torque curve plotted.

Aside from that, you can see the power values (430 whp and 440 whp) are pretty believable for the boost levels.

So taking that as it is, and seeing the G25-660 is getting a bit more boost, you can assume peak power figured are comparable to the GTX3076. The spool however is the star of this show. Same torque are roughly 250 RPM sooner...assuming all else is the same.

Does anyone know the weight comparison between the two turbos?

Sometimes they go by empirical units as well.

I'm used to using Nm and kW from my time at Volvo Powertrain, just good at flipping back and forth. It was always funny watching the Europeans pound their heads in the sand when they had to do conversions.

I have an eventual goal of fitting the G25 660 IWG in Stock Location so that it works with my Verticooler (Top Mount) and Grimmspeed intake

I am using the JDM Twin Scroll headers and Up Pipe (VF37 style) setup currently.

What is the most economical way I can fit the G25 660 IWG in stock location?

I am a little clueless when it comes to fitting Garrett Turbos, can somebody teach/advise me please.

I was thinking:

Twin Scroll to Divided T4 Up Pipe in Stock Location
(is this possible? how and where can I get this up pipe?)

Probably the closest to stock location will be Killer B's Spoolinator...not their current one, but they have posted not too long ago about a new kit for the G Series turbos. I don't believe there are TS housings for the G Series turbos.

ATP seems like the sort to release a stock-location version. I still have their stock-location GT3076, and would consider this thing if they can make it work.

I just recieved an email from ATP today and it's in the works. No ETA yet. I'm only interested in a stock location and also plan on the 550 instead of the 660. Could change my mind later since I'm not there yet.

Cool, I look forward to see results. If the 660 will give more power and come on just as soon as my current turbo, I'm going to be very tempted.

From the naming of the 550 and 660, I was assuming they'd be 55 and 66 lb/min, but I looked at the compressor maps last night, and they actually max out around 49 and 59.

My old-school GT3076 is 52 for comparison. It made 377whp with a stock longblock. Full boost (22psi) at 4000 RPM in 3rd gear.

No, actually the 550 and 660 refer to max HP. A variety of trims, A/R's, etc are available under that p/n. Check out the Garrett site, try the calculator, and review the sample calcs.

https://www.garrettmotion.com/racing...mance-catalog/

FYI, the intercooler cores made by Garrett are excellent. All core are not created equal and Garrett's cores use the best materials, fin designs, and brazing process. Their cores and intercoolers have been used by AMG, Ford SVT, CAT, Kenworth, etc. Unfortunately I don't believe they have a core the right size for TMIC's and custom sizes are not available. At least they haven't been in the past.

I knew that was supposed to be crank hp, but as I recall the rule-of-thumb was 10 chp per lb/min of air - and even that still seemed a bit optimistic for Subaru engines.

Quick update, got up to 440wtq and 461whp at 65% Ethanol tune last week on my 2.35 @ 25 psi. Looks like that turbo could do 500whp with stage 2 cams, higher fuel pressure and bit more boost.

Sorry for bumping an old thread as it doesn't seem like there is much info on this turbo.

Does anyone know if this will work in the stock location? Looking for around 400whp on 93. I know I may not hit it with this turbo, but that is OK.
