Asi9: ...That's not so fantastic.

Only OTters wanted the 2008 WRX, I guess.

Try it at $10k, maybe $12 knowing you'll drop down.

A narrow body WRX? I assume Garand's in the better color and with excellent maintenance done by Wicked would be worth maybe $2k more than yours. He wanted $11k for it. Don't know what he sold it for, so start at $9k?

Or just list if for $15k. Let the clowns who have never owned a $20 bill in their life tell you how overpriced you are, then wait......drop $200 every 4 days and stop when reasonable inquiries come by. And of course, get Car Max and Carvana quotes to have a backstop for the clown who comes by, test drives it and tells you he'll give you $5k and an X Box right now.

I get emails from a local dealer all the time trying to buy my '11 so I'm not sure it's just you're area they are in short supply. One of the times I was in there getting work done they even mentioned how hard it is for them to find used ones for customers.

I know what Garand's sold for because I know who bought it.

This is great. All y'all are saying numbers higher than what I was going to ask.

Well, it would be worth more if it was an automatic sedan.

I did what I presume you did, which is go on AutoTrader, set my filters to 2008 WRX 5spd hatchback in the whole US to get a quick feel of the market. $10k seemed about right, but the salvage title could be a big ding. Don't forget to mention it was owned by an ex-NASIOC mod!

Yeah, it's so weird. I keep a pretty regular eye on CL for AZ and southern CA looking at 2002-2005 WRXes and there's been next to nothing available since COVID started. And if there is, they want double what it's worth.

2012 WRX with LQK(I think the salvage yard company LKQ) engine, ROD KNOCK, been sitting for a year, new transmission but no description why it was replaced, has lien on it so maybe a clear title, and 92k miles all for steal of a price at $15k.

The stancenation fender lips are always a nice touch for resale. I always wonder what these people say when prospective buyers start talking about subtracting new body panels from the price.

Of course it has a plastidipped roof rack, rally armor mudflaps, and curbed rotas.

Drilling OEM body panels to fit a $10 quick-release trinket to give a wannabe racecar look has to be one of the worst ROI mods out there. I had to undo that from the prior owner on my Evo V.

I'm talking about this sweet body work on all corners that was done to accommodate 285 width tires. On a fresh panel you wouldn't see that light silver edge catching light along the bottom because that part of the body is normally not flared out using a pipe.

Nah, they filled the holes and painted the 2 fenders and bumper. Also, 3rd world service prices, so it was $600.

Well STI drivetrains (Trans/diffs/axles/brakes/etc. no engine) sell for like $4000, so if that chassis is pretty clean its not a terrible deal if you can rebuild it yourself.

What do y'all think of this as a flipping project?

Sell off all the aftermarket parts and put a stock 205 back into it. More money and time than thats worth?
