Default AP Manager not recognizing tune files on new Windows 10 computer

So I got a new laptop during the BF deals , but now I'm having issues with getting my AP Manager to recognize the files. My old computer (also Windows 10) didn't have any issues ever.

First off, I am doing this without the AP connected. Its in my car that's currently at the dealer. Maybe that has something to do with it....

I opened AP Manager and searched for maps on my computer, but the files cant be detected by the AP manager. I can see the files on the desktop but when going through the AP manager to search for maps, all the folders with maps are empty.

Also, when I try to open the files from the desktop its trying to use Adobe. I tried to change the ptm default program but the only option is Adobe. Looking at my old computer there isn't a ptm file listed in "default apps by file type" to compare.

I'm planning on calling Cobb when they open but with BF deals I'm guessing it maybe hard to get through. Hopefully someone here knows how to solve this and saves me a long phone call.

Update: I spoke with Cobb (great customer service) and went through a few things. It appears that for some reason my computer was associating a .ptm file with a .pdf. Got that issue sorted out but I am still unable to add files to the AP manager. Once I get the AP back I'm going to try and pull the files off it and see if that does anything.

Hey there! Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your AP Manager. It's possible that the issue might be related to the AP not being connected, but I'm not entirely sure. Have you tried reaching out to the manufacturer's support team for assistance?

While I appreciate the help, its a pretty old thread. 2 yrs, 4 months and 13 days to be exact.

I dont recall what the issue was but I think it was due to not having the AP connected to the laptop
