Hill assist, ABS, VDC, No Cruise Control???
I've found a bunch of videos and threads relating to this. I just got the brake light switch from subaru, though it was the same color and appeared to be the same part. I have a 2015 WRX base, I'm not sure what happened to make all the lights come on.
I had lost my horn and some steering wheel controls so I replaced my clock spring, I added tap turn from subispeed the less expensive one, I added the fog light harness from subispeed that plugs into the tailights which are the OLM sequential tail spec cr's. I was riding on some tein flex a coilovers that were way too low, scraping low but took to a proper shop and had alignment brought into spec and height raised to about 2 finger gap. I really hoped the brake light switch replacement would fix it, but same thing. CC is unresponsive, vcd light is on and hill assist off lights are on, vdc button is unresponsive, no check engine codes. I also swapped out the mfd for the 18 mfd but that didn't cause any issues upon installation. Should i just take to subaru? i read about a recall and the new part was supposed to be blue but the new one i bought from subaru for 16 bucks was the same old orange and black one. any input would be super appreciated, thank you in advance!

Have you checked the fuses for these things and verified power is getting to the fuses? If not I suggest you do that using a voltmeter or at least a test light probe. There are small tabs on the top of the smaller fuses that you can check for power on each side of the fuse.

You replaced your clock spring. Probably got the Steering Angle Sensor out of whack or broke it (the part you had to take off the back of the old clock spring and install on the new one). Regardless, you should have had the SAS recalibrated after the clock spring so yeah, take it to the dealer.
That is unless you have a scan tool that will read and perform VDC work support functions. |
