Default PDR then paint correct or repaint?

Hi folks,

I’ve had my04 sti since the beginning and she is beat up so I am looking to bring her back to her beautiful self. I’m pondering my options and reached out to a couple shops in my area. Seems they are jumping directly To repainting entirely given all the scratches and what not. Wanted to get your take on how best to proceed.

Goal is to get that beautiful glass reflection without deformations. I also still want to keep obsidian black pearl!

are the scratches through the clear, or close to through it. if the answer is yes you may as well skip the pdr and let the body shop do the paint and body work. if the scratches are superficial, do the pdr and then polish it.

Yeah the scratches are through and nearly all the clear has bubbled off on the spoiler.

you definately are not going to be able to polish it and expect a nice result.

Your 04 should be JBP not OBP (if you do decide to repaint)!
