Question... I have just installed a used engine on a 2009 outback 2.5i I now have a engine misfire at 2800 rpms. The light will come on and flash till I get out of the rpm range. I have tried everything to see why this it happening. Switched coils. plugs, wires, cam sensor, crank sensor, redid grounds, mass air flow sensor. Any help would be great

Unhappy Great info... but need advice

My son is in the process of rebuilding his EJ25 engine and has done extensive research into the process including torque spec and sequence. He broke a bolt during the block reassemble at the front bottom. 14 hours after he broke the bolt I removed a top center bolt for size comparison, he seems to think that he has to start completely over. I had the bolt out for 1-2 minutes and then re-torqued the bolt immediately.

Should there issue be an issue or concern with the quick removal/installation?

How is peoples experience with a front mount intercooler instead of the top mount? I’ve looking at buying one with a front mount.

Easier to work on the motor with a front mount. Has better power potential than a TMIC, looks cooler overall. What are your concerns with them?
