I spaced on bringing my USB stick so all i have is printouts and the numbers in my head. 266hp/242tq. boost was only at 15.5lbs, it should have been at least a pound and a half higher, and air/fuel had dropped below 10:1 by 6000rpm...looks like i'll be going back up for protune very soon

mine was the silver wagon with the black wheels

You don't see as much load on a dynojet as you do on the street.

Man Brian those were very impressive numbers. I'm glad to see you made very close to your goal with more room to work. I'm looking forward to the consistent 330whp no matter the heat soak. Your car sounds out of control and congrats to homie with the wagon. Those are great #s for that amount of boost on the COBB OTS map.

I would normally agree with you on that.

However, in Brian's case he was getting full boost in third gear earlier when tuning. The third gear run on the dyno was longer than on the street due to the EXTRA load imposed by the dyno. I think his boost issues were more due to heat soak and the small size of brians turbo.... and other parts...

He did take apart and build an almost entirely new engine for an 05 wrx. I'd say he likes throwing money away. That was with the alcohol. However, I didn't have near enough timing on the map. It was only our second run at those target boost values, so I wasn't about to bring the car closer to detonation right before a high load dyno run. I wanted to bring in the timing slowly, not so much for the sake of the engine, but for my own sanity. I never want to build an engine for a jobless roommate EVER again. They have NOTHING ELSE on thier mind and you never get any F'n peace.

I wanted to quit long ago from all the pressure Brian has been putting on me. But I made a commitment, and even though it isn't MY car, I couldn't just walk away because I lost interest. I'm a better friend than that.

yes, there is some power still left on the table. more timing and pull a bit of fuel and add some boost.

i might even go to a 15 gph nozzle.
