Thanks, my car always seems to be at the higher end of the scale compared to other WRX's for whatever reason. I just wish I had the added tq benefit of a 2.5L...

You almost went the same route as me too eh? Should take my car for a spin sometime, see how you like it

Nothing fancy, just an APS intake, 3" exhaust and some 565cc injectors...

To give you an idea of how whp numbers usually fall into place on RR's dyno. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if my car was making more power then yours either because you have a stage 2 OTS map...

What's my next step? Going WOT. What's yours?
haha i like that.

Hmmm, I'll have to dyno my car. I wonder that a mostly stock 06 WRX would do.

I had pretty much the same setup and yielded almost the same results -- this was back in 2005.

So i think Paul's car is in the right ballpark.

as for loomin.....

This dyno was when i had the VF34 with my APS DR725 FMIC -- unfortunately, it was too laggy for me. Just to give you an idea loomin, unless Pat's tuning for FMIC/VF34 setup has changed, it will look like this.

Then my current setup with the 2.5L -- notice the torque difference.

Out of all these setups -- I still think the Larger TMIC/VF34 is the best setup for 2.0 litres and stage 2 for STI's. Just a lot more fun and predictable when driving on city streets. As FMIC and Turbo size increases, the more lag you have, and a bigger power difference between when boost is on or off -- but top end will be far more than your average TMIC/small turbo setup.

mmmm turbo talk makes me want to change out the TD04 aswell......as I'm sure goes for most of us

vf____ sounds like a good match for a 2.0

Anyone ever run a TD05 16G?
Heard and read that it's a great turbo solution for top end + keeping as much of the quick spool times we have with our TD04's.

mmmmmm....I have a feeling I'll be thinking about turbos today

Great numbers and plot Paul! you're an motivator

Thanks! The 16g is a great turbo from what I hear, something about a good bearing design, I personally have no idea. I think it's slightly more expensive then the vf series too- with that, the vf39 is a fantastic choice for the budget minded because they're so readily available

Oh wow, that's pretty impressive for stock IC then. STi intercoolers aren't too much $$, I wonder how you'd do with one one those...

Happy_Days: Always interesting seeing your plots, one amusing thing to look at is the ending of the filename as it increases between more recent plots. Gives you an idea of how many pulls your car has done on the dyno

are you running a usdm sti tmic? i came across one pretty cheap locally (FS thread).. but it looks like it would take some mod to make it fit our wrx.. plus the need of a new splitter..

the APS unit is still top on my list though..

Ya I would also say that the SPT intake was a big issue, catted DP doesn't help either , and also that it was a super hot day and even hotter in the dyno bay. He thought I should be getting an extra 10-12 HP more from it on cooler days.

But that is all in the past hopefully I'll have my next set up in for the BBq next weekend!

Just waiting on my new map to come in from PDX so I can start/finish the build.

the new pump gas "leaving the shop to drive it like this every day tune" record is now 485. Of course you can jack it up and do some pulls yadda yadda, but this car left the shop like this. hes not on nasioc but hes around ... you might see him somewhere !

it seems like people here tend to run 16G, 18G, 20G... not much GTXXR series...

I'm guessing Autronic SM4,Cosworth Heads/Cams,Crawford S3L-i, APS TSR70 w/ 1.06A/R TS housing, APS DR725 FMIC, APS R5 TBE, Aquamist HFS-5, ACPT CF DS.....

He is know on here as squashman and has a killer 07 Sti Ltd but there is not much stock left on the car.

Hope he doesn't mind here is his car over on iwsti, see there is a few good peps on IWSTI. I would say this is one of the fastest if not the fastest Sti in Canada but I could be proven wrong.

Pat by the way how many dyno hours did it take to get it dialed in?? I heard it was a real bitch and issues with ecu's etc etc? Good build and job in the end. With that much crazy power I would say it needs a cage..... at least I would want one.

Thanks Marlon
