Figured I would post here first:

Going to be selling my 2015 WRX, DGM, black interior. Bone stock. 43k miles. I am the original owner. Brand new shortblock + all the fixins replaced under warranty when it threw a rod at 42k miles and the new engine has 1.1k miles on it. 17k miles still left on the warranty.

Comes with Continental Extreme Contact DWS all seasons on the stock wheels, with barely 4-5k miles on them. Brakes were all done at 30k. Located in McCandless, pretty much next door to Matt. PM if interested before it goes to craigslist. See a similar car with 50k miles for $22500. I am looking for $20900

Also Matt, im selling my car

I have one! I’ve had it for 2 years now. I’m in the south hills but I don’t drive a whole lot in general. You can find me parked on McLaughlin Run Rd during the work week, and I usually go to the vintage Grand Prix and sometimes cars n coffee, if I feel like getting up and going.

I'm in the South Hills as well but the Saab stays at my shop in Brownsville. I've only ever seen 2 driving around Pittsburgh was hoping there would be more of you guys out there!

Theres one guy in a lifted midnight blue with (my old) silver bumpers Saabaru over near Seven Spirngs I know for sure. Ive seen a black Aero on McLaughlin Run Rd a few times, but I dont think they're on any forums. There used to be someone that worked at Kuhns on Banksville that had one, and i think theres someone around here with a V8 STI swapped desert silver one.

Sadly Ive been the only one at the PVGP the last 2 years though.

So in case anyone was wondering, Saab 9-2x 16” wheels do not clear 4 pots even with a 6mm spacer.

Anyone know if the Tire Rack 16” steelies for an 07 wrx clear 4 pots? Or does anyone have any 16” wheels that clear 4 pots that they have been itching to get rid of because they are taking up space in your basement or whatever?

I have old 17inch 2.5i wheels from a 2006 Impreza probably doesn’t help you, one of them is not in good condition but you are welcome to them for free. Have no use for them.

I think I'd like to try Pittrace. I think i've brought it up before. I emailed them and my reply was that i either go through them and take the classes and pay the big bucks or i go as part of a group day thing with an outside party. I dont know if i under stood that correctly. I understand they dont want just any jagoff coming out and wrecking themselves or the track. But I have family things, not a lot of spare time but i would like to run a road course a few times. ANyone with experience out there have any recommendations?

I've been tuning the suspension and working on a lot of aero, it starting to become much more capable in the twisties than i thought it could be

I did a couple of the SCCA sponsored open track days. If I remember correctly its like $150. They split up whoever shows up into groups and you get to go out about 3 times for like 20 min. each session. I didn't have any inspection issues, but I was driving licensed and insured street cars. It was pretty laid back overall and a lot of fun.

mines a licensed and insured street car. Although my Grundy policy says no racing. If im just doing a test and tune type thing, is it considered racing?

I'd say no, racing means there is a winner. I should have been more clear, because I saw the post about registration in the mail. You built a sick beast by the way, I wasn't so sure how it would turn out when you first posted your idea. Anyway, back to track night, like I said it was pretty relaxed as far as tech, but I also brought "normal" looking cars with full body panels if that's a better way to word it. What they seem to care about is liability and it being fun for the drivers so they can keep getting that return cash. If I were you I would show up to the first one with the helmet I know you have from your dragstrip videos. The worst that happens is they say no bueno and you go over to the cart track and get your kicks there for the same coin you were ready to spend. The carts they rent are fun, not like Caddyshack in Cranberry Twp. or Erasers in Butler, which are still fun but no where near the same thing.

I can vouch for the karts, they are fun especially if you do a group rental. They let you do practice, qualifying and then a legit race.
