Default Just bought a 07 STI and have some questions

I just bought an 07 STI and inspected it after buying it (bad idea) it has been modified a lot. The main harness is wrapped in electrical tape and a lot of it is unplugged. I'm actually wondering if the engine has been swapped from the original EJ257. So that is my first question, how can I tell if it is the original motor? I saw a post saying it's stampd on top of the block but I don't see it anywhere. Here is the motor https://imgur.com/Dy5lkPx The other questions I have go along with pictures I took.

This is a sensor on the passenger side rear of the engine. Not plugged in and didn't see and plug in for it anywhere. https://imgur.com/TeiD2VF

This part was just laying on the driver side of the engine compartment plugged in. https://imgur.com/Dm7wJzk

Is this a oil pressure sending unit of some sort? https://imgur.com/B12quM5

This is on top of the muffler. What is it? https://imgur.com/1xIrHU1

Thanks.

Who did you buy it from? You should ask them first? Do you know if it has a tune? Did it come with an accessport tuner? Tough to tell from pics. Find your local subie tuner and ask them to go through it, they should be able to tell. Does the car run well?

I bought it from a used car dealership. They didn’t have a ton of info on it. It runs awesome and has tons of power. I showed a friend what was going on and he was able to see that it’s a ej257. He also said it’s just emissions stuff unplugged and it’s probably got an aftermarket ecu of some sort. Thanks.

#1 and #2 are very likely the secondary air injection pump components. Commonly deleted before/when they fail because they aren't super cheap to replace, usually, and it's just an emissions component for cold starts, anyways. They likely left that part plugged in so the computer still actuates the valves and thinks it's running like normal. If you look at the back of the heads you'll likely find a block-off plate bolted in (one on each side) that looks like the flange on that part that's just hanging out. I wonder if #4 is some sort of exhaust cut-out you can open/close? Usually people put those further up in the exhaust, though, so I'm not sure why it's all the way back at the muffler

Just found out what the deal with the muffler is. It’s a motor that turns a flap to adjust the noise of the muffler. https://www.maperformance.com/products/xforce-varex-smartbox-exhaust-control-unit-vksb01
