At minimum you are going to need guage(s) fuel pump, and injectors. After tune and install be prepared for this to run a good bit over 4k. From what I have seen reliability has not yet been affected by people boosting their 2.5i around 5-7 psi. Some of these vehicles have been boosted for a few years now.

I am already Installing new crankshaft/Forged Pistons/Forged rods/ACL Bearings. Already ordered parts just getting ready to replace the whole rotating assembly when parts get here. I am not planning on ever running more than 10 P.S.I. I Figured with the AVO Turbo Kit and fuel system upgrade I would have about $4,100-$4,200 just wanted to see if I was close.

I'm wondering if better CAM profile has anything to do with this as well as better Head gaskets etc.

I'd highly recommend delta 1500s. They respond extremely well to boost.

My name is Ryan and I hope you can get back to me asap. I have been looking for a nice car to buy and I came across a 2008 impreza with a turbo kit. While doing research to see if it is safe to turbo a stock impreza, I came across your thread and it turns out its your old impreza im looking at buying in sarasota, fl. Kind of coincidental. Just wondering if this is a good car to buy and if will last relatively long. Please contact me asap it would really help me out! Thanks. Email me at [email protected]

Ahhhhh I remember the days when I had a 2008 2.5i.......then I bought a wrx. I enquired about the same exact thing.....and got the response "buy a wrx" about a million times. Now that I own one I see why. Although a turbo'd N/A would be cool. Total sleeper. Keep us up to date with this build. Curious to see what I missed out on.

7 years and almost a month late. I’d say no, I limped it into the dealership to sell it and they bought it from me sight unseen. I doubt repairs were completed. I emailed you today for ****s and giggles. I don’t think you bought it since this was your only NASIOC post, but replying on a whim. Did you buy it???
