Feel free to contribute, some tips/tricks are quite cross-generational/cross-platform. I may just make this into a general KB thread. |

![]() I'm having doubts about the a/c disable for MY 12+ 2.0i models. I tried it again today, and could not conclusively determine if the system had disabled itself.

![]() test it on your car by having A/C enabled, press the button to disable, wait for 10 mins or so, re-enable manually, and listen for the compressor/relay click. Open your window, and park inside a parking lot if you have to.

![]() For those that know but are not sure about the problem.
Stumble Fix under acceleration for GR/GV STI Disclaimer: This is more than clicking your seatbelt or resetting your ECU, it may permanently damage your engine or fueling system if done incorrectly. Problem: This is the most prevalent issue with GR/GV STI's, our fueling system creates a water hammer pulsing effect which makes the car run lean and stumble from 2.4k-3.1k RPM (vehicle specific) during a light/WOT acceleration. For those that use OST, you may also notice your check engine light comes on if you cruise between 2.8k-3k RPM in 6th gear more than a few minutes with the code being P0171 of "Lean on Bank 1/2" or P0296 "Post catalyst fuel trim system too lean" . This will also fix that issue. Solution: By lengthening our fuel line, it disrupts the pulse in the loop, creating a much smoother fuel delivery to the engine. This guy will do a much better job at explaining than I ever will, pictures included. Tested Compatibility - MY09 STI - MY10 STI - MY12 STI w/ SPT Package Worked for 3 cars, all with the same effect of fixing the stumble. Last edited by belaud; 06-05-2013 at 06:29 PM. |

WARNING: For anyone thinking about this mod (I personally don't have it, after STGII + protune but some of you may) consider that you may have to be retuned or you will run lean in the higher rev ranges due to the extended length of the fuel line. This is not only to reap the "benefits" but also to protect your car during those higher ranges. This issue is also not usually noticed w/ stock setups, and and if observed stock, should probably be a warranty item you can take up with your dealership. |

![]() Fixed syntax
This will not make your car run leaner with the added fuel line, you're adding 3ft, not a mile. Just be sure to prime the lines before starting the car. The car will correct itself with a reset ECU, and run even better with corrected maps. For those with stock cars with this issue, it is not a warranty item, but a design flaw, you have the option of doing the mod, but is best to bring it to the dealership. |

![]() Regarding the hill hold function, i don't understanding what is the issue you are experiencing?
For me, it only holds for 1-2 sec on a hill, then it will roll back. It allows just enough time to take your foot off the brake pedal and move to the throttle and give gas. Then, it usually takes off smoothly. If you are really quick, then you might just end up rev-ing the car a little before taking off, which sounds fine to me. If you use the e-brake method to hold the car, you will end up with the same result (slighting rev-ing it before releasing the e-brake for take off). I guess I'm just trying to understand what do you mean by the car would still apply the brakes after you take off. Do you see your brake lights on or something? |

![]() Does anyone know a way to get around the A/C automatically turning on at "Auto"?
Most of the time I just want to go from "Fan off" to "Fan on" and I don't want the A/C on. But if you own a GR/GV, you know that the "Auto" function is the first choice on your dial. I find it pretty annoying having to manually turn the A/C off everytime I want to just have the fan blowing. Thanks! |

![]() Still showing, Dude. I think you may have accidentally removed the seatbelt chime thingy compatibility by accident.
And, just to show that reading the ****ing manual actually does work from time to time, I present to you the following excerpt from the 2.0i manual: Quote:

![]() For MY07 impreza 2.5i, to disable the seatbelt chime you need to have the car running, in/out the seatbelt 20 times, then turn off the car, remove key and start again.
