Default Best street tires for 2019 STI 19in wheels

I'm looking at getting new tires for the STI. I'd like something with comfort and excellent grip. I use this car as my daily as well.

What did you like or not like about the stock tires? Why not just buy those again? Have you looked at your options on tirerack.com or any other tire vendor's site?

How long do you want them to last?

My wife's STI run on Hankook Kinergy ST H735 tires that I ordered last month from 4wheelonline. Its handling and over-all performance is amazing!

If your wife’s STI had Bridgestone RE-71 or Yokohama Advan 08 or Michelin Pilot 4S I wonder how would have you described it.

Not knowing what are OPs priorities it is hard to suggest meaningful choice.

Michielin Pilot 4s will give you more comfort than stock and decent grip while being able to drive on them daily and year round. Your stock Yokohamas or a similar performance tire won’t get you many miles and aren’t great when cold and rainy. I hear good things about Firestone Firehawks if you’re on a budget

Michelin Pilot 4S is summer tire.
If you can use it all year depends on your climate.

My experience running the 4S is that that tire is not just a summer tire. I’ve run
them below freezing on my 1LE and 50 and raining at Laguna Seca. My 2018 STI had 4S and did fine in the snow on plowed roads around freezing

But yes the 4S is a summer tire.

I’m probably 3 months out from tires and have been reading everything I can. Seems like the Michelin Pilot 4s are the gold standard for a max performance summer only tire.

It’s what I’ll go with.

The Michelin Pilot Sport 4s seem to be everyone's favorite. Personally I've been running the Continental Extreme Contact Sport, since they're a bit cheaper and nearly as good from what I've found.

Here's some useful links I found comparing them. It seems really close.
