Can you give us some specs on the Legacy GT brake?

This is what I know.

I purchase a 295 rotor for my car, which was wrong, since I had 277mm. So I was advice to get the 4-pot caliper, which offer better braking than the 2-pot.

My question is, is the legacy rotor hub 5x100?

The legacy rotor is 316mm using 2-pot calipers. Would that setup be better that the same wrx brakes w/ a 4-pot upgrade?

The Legacy GT brakes do use the 5x100 hubs. The Leg GT brakes do bolt up to a GF, or GC8.

In my opinion the LEg GT caliper size and clamping force would yield better braking than the SUbaru 4 pots, even if used on identical size rotors. The Leg GT brakes with serisou pads are incredible. But thats my opinion.I drove a 2.5 Rs with 4 pots and DS3000s and while they were impressive, they didnt have the bite as I felt with track pads on a Legacy.

So you are saying that taking a wrx setup and putting on a 4-pot doesn't feel different?

I was advice to keep the 295, but seeing the 316, thats a better brake distribution, not that I will want it, but could mean less locking up of the brakes and longer pad life.

I would just have to swapped out my H6 rear conversion for th legacy now.

Either way, 17's first.

Do you have any pics of the new setup Myles?

Nooooooooooo,..I am NOT saying that. I am saying for me and my driving style, I prefer things different.

I KNOW the 4 pots on a WRX make a huge difference. I am saying I would rather have the Legacy brakes.

No pics of the new brakes yet...they are stil on another car.

Ok. I guest some else can pitch in hear. Would be very interesting to see how the Legacy GT setup compare to the 295mm rotor w/ 4-pot calipers.

Any site with the best deals beside subaruwrxparts.com?

Another option would be to get the WRX caliper brackets and use your 2 pot calipers. I have no experience with either setup as I still have the original brakes on my '00 RS. I assume using your calipers and the WRX brackets wouldn't be as good as the 4 pots, but it is a lot cheaper.

Nah, I going full. Just need to sell the 295.

Either way, i will have to go 16 rim to fix the wrx bracket. Going 17, so full 4-pot or LGT.

z.
it does 3 things.

1. lowers the front 3/8 inch ( even thought the GC8 versions may not)
2. gives additional camber with an adjustable pillowball bearing.
3. alloys use of standard springs, or conventional springs.
4. GC verison will prob allow flipping for more caster...
