Default Just bought 96 Legacy

So I just bought a 1996 Legacy about a week ago. Got it home just fine but since then it idles low, stalls constantly, and the rpm's jump up and down until it stalls out. Code reads P0100. Replaced MAF sensor and it is still there. Replaced spark plugs, plug wires, ignition coil, changed the oil and the oil filter, and replaced the air intake filter but still can't get that code gone and can't get it to run without stalling or idling badly. Going to try "hard resetting" it in the morning and see what happens.

P0100 is a CIRCUIT malfunction. Check the wiring to the MAF, be very thorough and even check that the pins in the connectors are seated and making contact. Check the engine main harness. Clean all grounds, even the one on the intake manifold.

Default 07 impreza stalls unless alternator is disconnected

trying to solve my daughters impreza issue. car would occasionly stall coming to a stop. Now its constant and will not idle in my garage after about 20 seconds after cold start. when cold idles fine and smooth and then just dies. odly i noticed when changing the alternator belt that it ran great without the alt plugged in. Ok, maybe a short in the alt. changed it with no change. also changed maf. Running out of ideas. Anyone run into a similar issue??

reset the ECU, see if it idles then. If so, let it idle for a while to re-learn.

So, do I ALSO need to do the idle relearn AFTER the throttle body clean, or no?
