Well an update from me. Been out of town lately for holidays, had some work related classes this weekend and with the upcoming crunch for 3MI Racing and the upcoming race seasons...I think the 2.1L build up has been bumped again due to the priority list.

I'm really thinking about just tossing my spare 2.43L into it for now. Kind of against the game plan but I need it out of the way, out of my wallet and off my mind.

I still can't wait to see how different this car is going to feel!!

well I've finally gotten sometime this week to get away from design work and into the garage. I'll finally be in town this weekend, so I should have some time to get the chassis back to a roller, though my pins came in (FINALLY) to wrap up the harness for my coupe.

Still waiting to hear word on some new gaskets that I discovered at PRI...however they have an exclusive retailer in the US and I'm waiting for word back as they aren't quite ready to release them to the public

So expect a few pics. Hoping to have time to start with the FMIC work.

How special can they be? Just use something that you already know works and get this thing on the road!

This is going to be a very helpful thread when I get up to doing some good suspension work to my Bugeye ReX

well I got a moment to come up with a checklist at around 4 PM yesterday.

I'm now down to assemble front uprights, ECU, Gauges, lap valves, FMIC (which is just to rip the front end off the car and start on the mounting), and fuel pump.

...I'll also be working on my coupe's wiring harness as it's a priority and I want it out of my kitchen

...and man, it is nice getting into the garage and away from the chaos of answering PMs and emails. I really think I'm just going to block all PM's from this account...or tell people who are asking about how to setup their car for X, Y and Z or engine tolerances to ask the people they bought it from

she was run hard and put up wet...and musty, sandy, gravely and rusty but it's all good now. Paint will still be rough but that's expected. I have been thinking about getting paint or a wrap done BUT I have no idea what a vinyl wrap runs.

As for pics, I need to get them up. Just got in from a short evening in the garage. Getting the PLX gauges in. EGT, boost and wideband. Oh and my Ver. 3 STi seats are going in. Only one in for PLX box clearance checking.

Just lay down some primer and rough sand it. or rhino line it. You know you want to interrupt flow on the surface. You know you do......

I'll get to it. I've been a bit busy fabing the FMIC setup.

P.S. Is that what the missed PM's were about? If not, I've made room, again.

Well, the 4" block and heads are off to a certain Time Attack race team because of a snag in their pistons...so my Bugeye now sits engineless.

Been contacting a certain EMS company about a plug and play dual AVCS unit. We'll see what happens. Those D-AVCS 2.0L heads I have do need a home.

Take off the trim piece on the B pillar. There's a sort of plastic reinforment piece that rubs on the belt. File it or cut it down and it won't rub anymore

http://youtu.be/iGiqb92_-WM

I suppose you might have figured that out by now, but maybe it will help someone in the future.

I've been thinking about this build thread and it's neglect during my move and shop set up...so please excuse the delay. Customer's and sponsored cars come first. This is going to be waiting for my new pistons at this point, so progress has been frozen for the moment.

eh, still trying to get things setup. Just a small one where I can keep inventory, have a climate controlled clean room and an office....and space to work on a car.
