Default 2015 STi - Track intended from Day 1 - NOW WITH DYNO NUMBERS!

We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Frank at Sebring during one of our track weekends. We were out in the Rev Works Z06 and it didn't take long to notice the brand new STi working it's way through the turns.

We hit it off with Frank right off the bat and even though he lives almost 3 hours way, he knew we were the perfect fit for his street / track car build.

The car got to us with very low miles and didn't take long to work up a well intended plan to achieve the goals that he had for the car.

First, it was time for a baseline! We put the car on our brand new, Mustang AWD Dyno so that we'd have some numbers to base the results off of. We were very pleased with the base numbers and knew that there was nowhere to go but UP!

Initial numbers were 235AWHP and 238 Ft. Lbs of Torque. That was a pretty impressive baseline. It just got us even more excited to get started.

First Round of Mods:

We were looking to add power and on track cooling. That being the case, we opted for the following mods.
Invidia Catless Down Pipe
Perrin Cat Back Exhaust System
Mishimoto Oil Cooler Kit
Koyo Aluminum Radiator

Let the installs begin!

Koyo Radiator, side by side with the OEM unit. Big big difference. This will definitely help reduce track temps. Looks pretty good, too.

Oil Cooler getting ready to go in.

Invidia Down Pipe being installed.

Stay tuned for more pics, progress, videos and final numbers.

Oil Cooler Custom Fit:

First look at our custom fit installation of the Mishimoto Oil Cooler Kit on this 2015 STi.

Mishimoto Thermostatic Oil Cooler Kit installed.

Accessport just got here and we're getting ready to get installed and hit the dyno in a few hours.

You said you were impressed with the baseline numbers. Are you finding that the '15 is making roughly 20 more whp than the '08-14's? I only ask because Perrin is finding that to be the case.

NOW WITH NUMBERS!

This is on pump gas, 19psi, Invidia Down Pipe and stock cat back. All in the new SUB004 Accessport by our friends at Cobb Tuning. Mike from MTuned did a hell of a job tuning this exciting new project! We can't wait to build and tune more!

Serious torque gain! Very exciting stuff. WOuld be really curious to see what kind of gains, if any, would be had with a catback at this point..

Just to confirm, this is a custom accessport tune correct? Not OTS?

This is with a protune on the Cobb V3 AP. We'll be installing the Perrin exhaust and some more in the next round. Stay tuned!

Here is a video shoot by our pal, Michael. Enjoy.

That is a very impressive response to such minimal modding. I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Thanks. We're happy with it. Car is heading to Sebring over the weekend with the new power and some upgraded brake pads. We'll see where we stand and the next round of mods will come after that. =)

Does your dyno read low? I see a lot of Stage 2 Catless wrx/sti more in the 280+ range for HP. The gains are impressive so I guess that's one thing to take into account though.
