Merpmod speed density
Any merpmod users on here? How is your idle? I just started tuning a friends hawkeye using the merp mod patch. Trying to get the car to run full speed density and i'm having difficulty to get the car to idle. For those of you that are using the merp mod in full speed density mode did you have to modify the engine load smoothing factor? Did you have to modify any of the alpha idle control tables? My problem is the car doesn't wanna idle worth crap, really difficult to scale VE down low because it keeps hunting and is really unstable and stalls frequently but sometimes just randomly settles and idles fine. I created a thread on romraider attaching logs and my map along with the ecuflash definition. Thread is here: https://www.romraider.com/forum/view...p?f=37&t=17598
A little bit on the car 07 hawkeye Rom A2UJ000J merp mod patched Freshly built short block using new case halves Stock cams and stock sized valves FP Black 8cm Walbro 255lph with pressure relief mod FIC 1000CC Agency power rails with stock fuel pressure regulator APS 73mm CAI I fully tuned the car on maf before trying to switch to speed density, on maf the car ran fine for the most part. The only idle issues I had on the maf tune is it hunted a little after hot starts or after resetting the ecu but I didn't spend too much timing getting maf dialed in at idle so I figured it was because of that. Im hoping people are still using the merp mod patch, hoping to avoid going cobb just for speed density. Any input would be much appreciated!

Running merp but not sd, hybrid mode was created for idle If u still run the MAF for iat. From 15yrs of other sd tuning experience, it’s lean in the ve map around the area it’s bouncing, usually adding 10% over that whole area will calm it down enough to start dialing it in. This would come up when the tune was trying to maximize the mpg. I have never tried to correct this with out live tuning and map tracing, I imagine it’s a pain

Launch control that can be set to fuel cut or ignition cut or a mix of both. Auto rev match Rolling launch Antilag It has capability of controlling methanol injection Map switching Hybrid maf/speed density Full flexfuel capable All on a stock ecu. It does cost money but in my opinion still worth it and you still use ecuflash to edit the map as well as romraider logger to log. For those interested definitely worth checking out. As for why the car hunted idle and stalled on merp mod I have no clue. I ran smilar VE values down low but for some reason the car would just not behave. |

Merpmod speed density
Where do you get it?
I want to run SD or hybrid on an NA (supercharged car) ecu so I need a little extra support. About to peg my MAF sensor on a 70mm ID housing. My IAT is relocated to post IC hopefully that is good. Not sure if I want hybrid or straight SD. Bypassing the huge air flow on the supercharger is a bit of a pain so SD vent to atmosphere would be nice. |

Someone has to edit a rom for ur ecu, I doubt it’s out there. There was a speed density forester, I had one, was 1999ish.
I think a turbo ecu if possible w/sohc. cam sensors or get someone to mod ur rom . All this is on romraider site |

Dimemod will only work with 32 bit ecus equipped with an immobilizer. As for the patching service hit up @dime_spb on Instagram since that’s who I purchased the patched rom from.

note: when using merp for speed density, you have to crunch the Sd/IAT load comp into the MAF g/s IAT comp table
Dime has a traditional/cobb/carberry sized sd/IAT load comp |

Is it literally only cars with immobilizer or just drive by wire cars? Can’t really think what the immobilzer has to do with it. |

Unfortunately its only on cars with an immobilizer. The reason being is that the patch is not free and that's the only way the developer can get consistent income. He vin locks the patch so that you cannot use it on a different car with the same rom. The only way that can be done is through the immobilizer, that's why he can only do it on immobilized roms. And also because the non immobilized roms don't have enough space to make the patch work.

Can you put tell me how to contact the developer?
I am pegging my MAF now, need to decide to go bigger draw through, blow through MAF or something else. There is , as far as I can tell not enough support for me to do MerpMod. Sorry you said already on IG... I'll see if I can find them. I am not on IG! |
