Default 05 Roof Molding Restoration - Help Needed

My son and I just bought a very nice silver STI this week and we're obsessed with restoring it back to showroom condition. One issue we're trying to figure out is that the black rubber roof moldings look oxidized and spotted. I have been searching but can't find any threads on this. Is there a way to restore them?

Thanks everyone for your help.

Depending on how far gone they are.. mine were in the same condition along with some Hail Dents..I just ordered them from the dealer and replaced them outright...along with the outter Door Beltmoldings. Made a huge difference..I am currently in the process of getting new Wiper arms, Cowl panel and few other goodies..

Here is a great Reference Site so you can get the part #'s

more specifically

hope that helps

Bill

Thank you Bill. I was thinking this might be an option and they're not too expensive. I appreciate your help!

No Worries... Glad to help. Depends on what your definition of 'expensive' is..
I, too, am in the process of refurbishing my 05 STi as well to bring it back to new condition... So I completely understand..

Here I would like to share some tips.

If your home requires the entire roof to be replaced, the process may take a few days or longer if the roof is rather large. But if the repair work being done, you want to know that your roof is being worked on correctly, so knowing how the job is normally done may put you somewhat at ease.

No matter what the damage is to the roof, the first step is cleaning the area that is to be worked on.
