Thanks! The radio was there and then there was a little single din cubby underneath so I removed that and then shifted the radio down so i could put my gauges in the middle.

So I got my injectors figured out so whoever decides to do this in the future it will be alot easier. So I got a set of FIC 1000cc injectors from a 2011 STI, and I think they fit in a certain year range but anyways, they wouldnt fit in my stock 2000 outback intake being as they have this weird channel that allows fuel to travel to other cylinders? In addition to that, the bracket that secures the injectors was too long being as the factory injectors are longer. So that was a no go. So i was looking through my stash of intake manifolds and I found a 2008 intake and the injectors fit perfectly! I'll snap some pictures of them installed, but as it turns out this intake is going to be way better for boost anyways, as you can see in the pictures, the 2008 manifold is nearly 1/4" larger diameter! So I ordered an adapter plate for the throttle body which i'll post pics of as well.

The plan is to run the new motor which should be done this week with the factory manifold, and then I'll have the 2008 manifold outfitted so when I go to get it tuned i can just swap the manifolds and will be ready!

So this is the new intake manifold, and the spacer that adapts the old cable drive throttle body to the new style intake. Fits perfect! I just need to weld up the bracket that holds the cables in place.
And I also got my oil catch can and new bov!

Sorry its been a bit, but i'm finally getting around to getting this updated. I got the motor back from the shop finally!! So its a 257 bottom end, with sti rods (forged from the factory) Wiseco forged turbo pistons, Moroso oil pickup tube, ARP head studs, fully rebuilt heads with 3 angle valve job, turbo exhaust valves and oem head gaskets. I've spent the past week slowly getting evething on the motor and just got the motor put in today. After seeing so many knock offs, i decided to get a Tial wastegate straight from MAPerformance. The bov is a knockoff so i'm curious to see how it does. Not nearly as important as the wastegate though. Anyways, its in with the factory intake manifold, so I'm going to get it running and driving, and then when the time comes, swap in my new intake with the FIC 1000s, and get it tuned. I'll be ordering an AEM EMS 4 for tuning and i'm going to order the universal harness and make my own engine harness. Hopefully I can just put it back to factory quickly come emissions time. Anyways, I'll try and have another update soon!

So I started the motor for the first time a couple days ago! I removed the fuel injector clips and coil connector and cranked it with the plugs out several times and couldnt get the stinking oil dummy light to go out. And for some reason, my glowshift gauge wouldnt read as I was cranking, maybe because its has a 12v sender? Anyways, I finally was like ive cranked it enough and it should have oil pressure soon after startup. So it fired right up and my gauge shot right up to almost 100psi. Turns out I had bent the connector 90 degrees on the dummy sensor, and it was touching the block which aparently makes it illuminate. So I moved it off an 1/8 and not more oil press light.

I do have a question for you guys, at cold start im seeing 100psi, which it is a high pressure pump the builder always installs on performance subaru blocks, but after it warms up it slowly goes down and eventually I get to about 15psi. I think my idle might be a bit low, i feel like its around 500, so if I can get that up a bit the oil press should be about where everyone elses is. I've researched it an most say 80-100 cold pressure, and 17-30 hot idle pressure. I also checked it with a manual autometer oil gauge and the glowshift is accurate. Anyways, I'm going to try cleaning the IACV and throttle body and see if that effects it. Otherwise, its running fantastic, no leaks surprisingly.

Oh, seperate question, does anyone know how to properly route the EWG vacuum lines with a Mac boost solenoid? Thank you, Dave

So while I was getting the oil pressure sensor fixed, I put the alternator back on and it must have pushed down on that brass t and broke it off, Unbeknownst to me, so I started it up and dumped about a quart of fresh oil onto the top of my new motor. So, I decided that wasnt a very user friendly set up so I put my glowshift sender in the factory spot, and then I got a stainless piece 1/8'' and I much prefer this set up.

So my set up is sohc rebuilt ej251 heads, with the ej257 short block, wiseco pistons, sti rods, and high output oil pump. However, at startup i get 110psi then it slowly goes down as it warms up and eventually gets to about 15psi. I think the motor idles a little low but Im wondering if its just because this is a different set up that the oil pressure is a little low at idle. Any thoughts?

Also just fyi, my bearings are .002 clearance, which is a little more then factory, since it will be a higher power build. I think between this, and running 5w30 Joe Gibbs break in oil, as this is what was recommended by the builder, is why its on the lower side. I'm wondering if I should swap to a 40 weight break in oil.
