I'm just here for when the Pre-order opens up. I skipped the PS4, and the PS3 is still going strong but I am ready to take the leap again. Plus, here is to hoping Gran Turismo 7 isn't a limited online BS title like GT sport is.

The internet is speculating the official unveiling to take place in February for a release in October. I"d be surprised if pre-orders open that soon.

I've mainly just played GT Sport in single player mode though you do need to be connected to network for many things.

The official site quietly launched. No new information, but it could be an indicator of the full reveal being imminent.

https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/explore/ps5/

Unfounded internet speculation has the reveal taking place as early has tomorrow, but definitely in February with presales starting in March.

GT Sport is the first GT I did not buy, mainly because I skipped the PS4 I want the real/whole GT experience though. Start with 10K credits, buy a beater 87 RX7, and go from there. I've played GT1 and GT2 already, and currently doing a GT3 playthrough, and will go all the way through GT6 eventually as part of some nostalgia kick I am on. Forgot how awesome the 22B Sti was on GT3 A-spec. Also how expensive the SS tires were

Redditor PennyOhms looked at the Sony Hall calendar for February and found a Private Event scheduled for February 29th, which would kick off at 7:00 PM ET. According to the Redditor, there's nothing on the schedule for February 5th. As with other PS5 rumors, however, there's nothing definitive to confirm the date. What we do know for sure from Sony is that the company isn't going to E3, so we don't expect any PS5 announcements at the show.
Could be true

Agreed. The specs for the new Xbox are quite exciting for the console world. If PS can match that and continue to bring their stable of quality first party games to the table, they'll have another wild success on their hands.

Curious, as I was reading reports on pricing- what's the most you'd pay for these types of consoles?
From what I read- XBOX will have (2) versions $500 and $6-700

If there's a cheaper, less powerful Xbox, I see it coming in at $3-400 and the Series X around $5-600. It could be higher, given the hardware, but I doubt they'd go over $600.

Seriously. Even their 3D audio solution is unnecessarily convoluted. They also did a pretty good job of explaining why MS's solution for proprietary expandable SSD was the more logical approach.

Dang, Sony. Dang.
