This looks like a true successor to the Colin McRae named games.

The engine does look dated, but the physics sure look right.

If the guys in that video are right (that it's basically the same game engine as Dirt 3), then it'll still look pretty damn good.

Logitech G27 is $200 on Newegg right now. Is there anything else that comes close at that price?

I think there's a bug? It seems like some people have them and some don't.

I installed it but haven't played yet. I did run the benchmark test and getting about 60 FPS avg with everything on Ultra @ 1440p.

Gah, it's a bug? Really? It's a key part of the game!

Ditto @ 1920x1200. It runs really well.

Rally games are the only other thing I like to play.

And, sure, I stink...

...but the lack of pacenotes doesn't help. They're patching it soon, apparently.

Yup no pacenotes and no co-driver voice for me either. Gonna mess with the wheel settings and probably make 4th gear of my H-shifter the handbrake and use the paddles as sequential later today.

I like this one the best:

It will take them as long as it took Heists to be released.

Okay, bought a G27. I'll be ready for a league match when they fix the pace notes...

Yeah, sweet lamb in the rain with no notes...wasn't happening.

If your not building a dedicated simulator seat/wheel/etc, this is the best mount that I've found.

I've had mine for ~2 years now, no complaints

This one is better since it folds up into a nice small package when not using it:

http://www.amazon.com/Steering-Wheel-Stand-Pro-included/dp/B004AYMCRG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1430240809&sr=8-2&keywords=g27

I'm fairly certain the functionality would be identical with the one above, just takes up less space ftw.

If you aren't worrying about storage space and have room for it to permanently sit, I would recommend getting a Obutto Ozone/Revolution racing rig.

Pfft. If you have that kind of room you'd be dumb not to go with a SimXperience setup then.

I'm so excited!

But they couldn't have announced this 2 weeks ago, before I sold my wheel?

Yes.. either full motion simulator seat or a dinky fold-up plastic & aluminum folding thing that will jump around with every bit of feedback. There is no middle ground.

I'm hoping okay. Seems like people with some older hardware are doing fine with this. I think imma buy it and play around with it

1) That was a joke, 2) You've obviously never used the stand I linked to. It is very stable and does not jump around at all. Nice try though.
