We have a first-gen Leaf too. Somehow, even though it's based on the miserable Versa, I kind of don't mind the Leaf, while the Versa makes me want to kick it until it cries.

I love oddities. Especially when they’re the result of engineering, not design.

That's purdy. Would DD, for sure. Even if it just had a 100 mile range.

Yeah, but with that mention of carbon fiber, etc. it's going to be a $200k plaything for sheiks.

I must've missed some car show event the other weekend, I was behind a Lotus Elise and we passed a Seven coming the other way.
Elon has already made an electric-powered Elise, but MAN would an electric-powered Seven be a damn hoot. |

I really think that EV Skateboards and stand alone motors will make restomods a lot easier.
I have already seen 300 HP drive motors the size of a diff housing. |

Translation: we're almost out of cash.
They may be worth more than Toyota in hypothetical money (stocks) but cash is king. |

I was thinking Toyota might be the company that goes for it with Tesla. They've been dragging their feet on their own EV development and seem to prefer partnering with other companies when it comes to building anything beyond their bread and butter vehicles.

They had a partnership with Toyota for a few years. Rav4 EV was the result.

Are side view cameras instead of mirrors legal yet? IIRC, you could use cameras as supplementary side view but the glass mirror was still required. I like what they’ve done with efficiency but that is still pretty expensive for what is basically a closed canopy motorcycle. |

Finally watch this, and it is impressive. And it looks like it can be fairly profitable fairly quickly. using it as a small peak plant is brilliant. |

The Honda e isn’t available in the US market. In the US, Honda sells quite a few cars with cameras on the passenger side view mirror but none completely lacking side view glass. |
