When chasing wide wheel widths, you have to put function over form. Find out what fits and only then choose a wheel mfr or model from among the choices that fit.
Start by searching for wheels that do not need any spacer to clear the Brembos. Usually the clearance issue is the back side of the spokes not clearing the faces of the calipers, though for some wheels there is taper in the barrel that fouls the outer "diameter" of the calipers. So that's two more things to check (in addition to strut and fender clearances). Norm

^ i get that. i'm looking more for who has and what can i do to modify front fenders and can i modify them to fit a 275/35 tire functionally. i have heard of people putting washers on the fenders so they are pushed out further. and of course rolling and pulling. am i missing something?, i just cant find anyone running that setup that has discussed what was done up front.

for rally people typically use suspension to lift the cars, and a narrower tire. i cant speak much to that. |

I've got serious doubts . . . here's how what you're proposing compares to OE (well over 2" further out on the outside, with about 30 mm of unused space on the inboard side that could be used to cut the amount of poke down to something that might work).

i doubt so with that offset. that would poke quite a bit. i did have a friend who ran 18x9.5+35 with 275/35 tires on his 2016 sti. although he did have coils and i think he rolled his fenders too. i dont believe they were pulled but i'm not sure about that

with a wrc style widebody i believe you could fit an 18x10.5 and run like a 295 tire. but double check that and dont take my word on it. i'd have to double check myself to be sure. |

I have been searching around and hopefully someone can help out. I am looking at a set of 17 inch Enkei PF01's on a 2017 Base WRX. I want it to be a as close to the stock 17 inch wheel size so I can keep the stock tire size of 235/45r17. Would the 45 inset on an 8 inch wheel fit without rubbing? Thank you .

225/65R17 Winter set up on Bugeye?
I’m wondering if a 225/65R17 setup would work on a stock height bugeye.
I was about to install whiteline springs and KYB struts, but didn’t know if it would fit under that too. So I can keep it stock height or if they will fit the lowered set up I’d like to do that. Can anyone confirm fitment? |

Hoping someone can help!!! I have an 04 sti, I’m the original owner too. It’s been in storage for a few years and I think it’s time to pull her out. Car is on tein mono coilovers with oem bbs powder coated cherry blossom “pink” I’m really wanting a set of volk te37 in bronze 17x8.5 5x100 +45 for tires Advan ao52 255/40r17. Will these wheels clear the brembo’s? Will I have to roll the rear fender? I can’t find a confirmation this combo works.

2006 Legacy Wagon 2.5i
Hi Guys
Noob here... tried to search first! But didn't turn up a result. 2006 Legacy Wagon 2.5i, dead stock suspension/ride height. Have some very crappy 205/50/17's on it now, and they are terrible in even light snow. Found a great deal on the more common size, Continental DWS which are 215/50/17. Will these fit on the stock 17" wheels, and suspension? I've measured with my hand, and seems like lots of space in the rear - front I can easily get my hand in from the tire to strut, I can't see any issue with going 10mm wider, and concerns with the slight height difference? From what I can tell my existing tire diameter measure just a hare over 25" but the setup with the Conti's will be 25.5". This tire doesn't show up as an alternate size option (215/45/17 is) but I know that if anybody knows what fits its you guys. Thanks! |

I think last time I posted I was on Tein Basics. Now I'm on RCE T0. Wheels are Gram Lights 57DR 18x9.5 +38, 255 35 Firestone Firehawk. Other suspension mods: whiteline sways and lateral links.

Just to make sure we're talking about the same thing . . . does it include about a 40% of rim width change as rim width varies from "measuring width"? Both sidewall shape and clearances are affected. I'm using curve fits for the upper and lower sidewalls. Norm |
