Posting this for Damian,

Caption for first pic.
Best part was a compliment from Russia.
Caption for second pic.
This was the first & last time I took a left hander at 140kph.

True very true
This is what happens when the ditch has a barrier of hard packed snow,
Start of the day,

Middle of the day,

End of the day, week, month,

But I have learned and now I keep my new car like this,

Ouch. That looked painful. I feel for you man. This is the result of my little off-road excursion:

Luckily enough for me, my speeds usually launch me over the ditch & into the field or trees/bushes. Surprisingly enough, with all my "offs" (about every other week) I've never incurred body damage, just broken skid plates & suspension.

The snow bank you see me in was about 3 ft high. The snow in the ditch was about 5 ft deep and in the field it was about 1.5 ft deep. I smacked through the snow bank, cleared the ditch (as you can see) and landed in the field. I cracked m front bumper but that was it. No other damage. I was doing four wheel drifts at about 100 kmh and she got away from me on one corner. I'm lucky I didn't hit a guradrail, a tree, a lamp pole, a rock, a person, or a porcupine. Got a new bumper for next to nothing (already painted). Lucky me. Leaned my lesson though. I quickly learned that you can only consider your car a true rally car if you are not concerned about smashing it up.

Thankfully my passenger and I walked away with one minor cut to his hand. The truly sad part was that I was on my way home from a day of goofing around and when I was doing the speed limit I hit the ditch andd destroy my car. I think I am glad it happened slowly rather than at 100+ as I was doing earlier.
I will leave the rallying to the pros and stick with Auto x's and stuff that is less likely to destroy my new baby.

D-man:
If that road is the one I think it is, you've got big balls doing 140 in the curve. There's no sand in that gravel, so it's like running on marbles!

Then again, maybe I just need a bit of practise...

TiTaNiuM sAMuRai: Yup, it's THAT corner. Normally only take it at about 100kph, but since I ws on camera thought i'd open her up. Only marbles! Scared the **** out of myself (not literally) but I found out the car was not the limiting factor.

thejean, stiches: you are VERY lucky my friends. Similar thing happend to a H.S. friend (not goofing around), he was not so fortunate.

At the time, I had a bolt in cage and helmet.

Great action shot Marvi. Great timing to get your car so centered in the pic. What track?
