In some ironic casting David Harbour, who was previously seen beating up and shooting Russians in Stranger Things season 3, is now playing a Russian superhero in the upcoming Black Widow movie, The Red Guardian.

I felt like the season started really slow and ramped up fast toward the end this time around. Overall, I enjoyed it.

Side note: Someone needs to open a "retro mall" someplace set up much like Starcourt, complete with old stores, a retro food court, an arcade that looks like it's frozen in 1985, etc. That would be cool.

I finished the season.

I enjoyed it until they made me think of the swamp of sadness.

I cried for Artax all over again.

****ing ********.

Just finished the season, solid meh/10. Wasn't awful but sure as hell wasn't great or anywhere near season 1 & 2. I will say though, the reading of the letter at the very end made me shed some tears. No one makes me shed my own tears! No one!

I respect that. I thought Season 2 was the worst of the three except the season was saved by the last episode with Eleven rising like a goddess to defeat the monster. That was impactful. The part that got me bored of Season 2 was Eleven seeking our her "sisters". I have a bad feeling they will return for the final season.

I like that she is looking for her past.

she sees all these people around her connected by familial bonds, yet she has no memory.

she should be seeking out who she is, her friends should be helping her.

part of this show is her discovery of herself, as much about hunting monsters.

I happened to like this season the best TBH. Nice bit of humor, just enough Russian campiness to make it feel like an 80's flick, and a bunch of little easter eggs throughout the season.

I lol'd when they tossed out the line from Die Hard "you are a policeman...there are rules..."

A socal Baskin Robbins set up one shop identical to the ice cream shop in the show, and served the same menu. Line was around the block.

miserable detail 16 just proves he never used one of those cash registers. they pretty much always displayed E02. which was error 02, or meant user error inputting something wrong.

I have not watched a single episode but Mrs orndog bought tickets to some Halloween thing near here where I guess it's filmed, she's a fan.

I just finished binge watching all three seasons at the beach house and when I got home. Holy ****. It's like a brain freeze but for all the waking thoughts and dreams. My son couldn't sleep from the Goonies fat Mikey death scene. Put him OTT. Ironically we were trying to find Goonies to watch because the house is near where they filmed it, but went with Stranger Things and dude is actually in the show.

Reading comments here, I felt the same coming into season 3. Like why? But after watching it, I think it did a good job being different enough from the other seasons to make it still enjoyable and relevant. Like I wanted to keep watching it. I liked the characters and the whole mall thing. THAT WAS TOTALLY ME. Except I could ride my BMX to the mall and not take a bus. I saw all those movies in the theatre too. So it could be some nostalgia going on in that third season. Red Dawn theme. Arcades. Frog brothers vampire hunting. Yeah.

Fourth season? Ok.

I'm surprised no one bumped this since the new season came out. I just finished it with my kids, I like it.

I liked the the more horror-ish aspect to start the season. I think they've reached some character overload because half of the main group are now just in the background.

The Russia bit...man I dunno. I don't know why they went that direction. Not sure if it's going to tie in with everything else. It's kinda silly they are trying to sell us on that they some how have "tamed" this monster.

The best part is the Steve/Dustin dynamic. The absolute worst is the stupid basketball team and especially Jason.

The interesting thing about that is, both Jason and Eddie had pretty uh...intensely CRINGE introductions to their characters. Jason just keeps getting worse but Eddie went the other direction and is pretty likable, IMO.

No idea why there are characters actively pushing the Nancy/Steve thing. It's distracting and unnecessary. One of the best things about Robin being gay is that her and Steve can have a normal friendship without "feelings".

There's one more season after this correct? Not sure the point of splitting the final 2 episodes (other than keeping subs) but whatever.

Minus some jagoff littering the celebration shack with Iron City beer cans in the second episode it's been okay. I've only seen eps 1-3 so far, though.

According to wikiepdia there is another coming:

'The first season of the series was released on Netflix on July 15, 2016, with the second, third, and fourth seasons following in October 2017, July 2019, and May and July 2022, respectively. The series was renewed for a fifth and final season in February 2022."
