So they'll go from remembering their glory days, while mired in the middle of the Big12, to doing so in the cellar of the SEC

So the Big 12 will have ... 8 teams, the Big 10 has 14, and now the SEC will have 16.

Jesus, just put Clemson in the SEC and let that conference decide the NC every year.

If this goes through there won't be a Big 12 anymore. The remaining schools will get divided up and added to the Pac 12, B1G, and ACC.

Oklahoma has had some decent years recently but they were a non story for the previous two decades.

Texas has been "Texas" since about 10 minutes after that Vince Young Rose Bowl

Lots of clamoring about where this will head. Regardless of what color glasses you are wearing this is going to change everything. Even the NIL stuff was already skewing talent more towards the factories. This might be the end of college football for any team that isn't a perennial top 10.

Once you are down this road might as well go NFL style with two conferences made up of the top X number of teams. Conference playoff, title game between the two. I guess expanding the playoffs to like 16 teams kind of accomplishes the same thing.

That's what we're moving towards and literally what I said would happen if we went to a playoff way back from 2010 on. This is what people wanted so desperately for years.

Sad how dead this thread has become. I know wolfie and Blu have families now, but I almost wish the PSU clan would pipe up. Almost

Forum is dead for reasons and college football is realigning to ensure that 10 of 12 playoff spots go to teams from select conferences. I tell you, I’m really excited to see my team travel 1500 miles to play our in-conference “rival” while our historical rivals within 200 miles are picked up a couple times a decade to fill out the schedule. Such excite!

I remember when college football was fun. About the school, the students, Saturdays, seeing where you'd be ranked, bowl games, possible champion dreams, beating your rival, etc.

Now it's about Alabama, Clemson ... and seeing which of these kids will become rich in the NFL.

Hard pass.

The Badgers are probably my favorite team outside of Tennessee so by all means, lets hear it!

I remember, too. I hate to say it again, but the BCS was good for college football.
