Every day is a lower deal. Buy 3 at a rip to save on shipping.

Depends on what you want. Anderson lowers have been $40ish for a while from the usual suspects. Brownells has assembled Colt lowers for ~$230 shipped which I think is a good price if you're not going to rip the furniture/trigger out.

I'd like to put together a rifle for my wife, and have two lowers sitting in my safe for when my daughters are ready for them.

So what are you asking? Grab a couple of triggerless LPKs from White Oak while you're there. Furniture has been cheap all year.
Point still stands, unless wifey isn't good enough for a Colt. |

If it were feasible with transfer fees, I'd buy Aero over Anderson or similar garbage any day.

I'm not going to say she's not good enough for a Colt.... I'm saying she couldn't tell the difference between a Colt and an M&P sport.

I bought a blem micro red dot from pa for $69 instead cause I'm poor. Should work well on my mp5-22. |

Talked with the wife tonight, I got the "you don't take me shooting anyway" bs. So, I was thinking... Maybe I just build another rifle for myself and keep this one for her, or my daughter, or whatever.

AIM Surplus has a decent Thanksgiving sale on if you're looking for bigger parts.

That PA red dot will work perfectly fine on a 5.56 as well. I had an older version on my AR and it held up great through 1000s of rounds and never lost zero. It's on my Beretta 1301 shotgun now and still holds up.

Over the past week or two I've been learning how to make holsters. I made a kydex press and acquired all of the materials necessary. My carry gun is A P938 in a T. REX Arms Sidecar appendix holster. It's super comfortable but I wanted to make a few tweaks.
I can't figure out how to rotate the damn picture aside from rehosting it. The gray one is the Sidecar. The fancy hexcam one is my favorite so far. I I've worn it for a few days now and it's just as comfortable and well hidden as the Sidecar and only cost me $20 in material. Im not sure if I'm going to keep the other two black ones or try and sell them. If I get procificent enough I may try and make it a side business. |

Does $100 over stock price seem reasonable for a Cerakote frame on a G43?

This close up version of the FAST drill has been going around online for the past week or so. Some guys spent a good bit of time trying to get it under 2.5. This is my first run, a 2.48.
Some alien from another planet did it in 2.10 a couple days ago though so I guess this isn't really that impressive, other than I hit it under 2.5 cold on my first try even doing this drill. I put the camera away after this, and got it down to a 2.38, but 2.10 seems like a mile away |

Did you make up your press or follow some instructions? Is it hinged? I've been wanting to make one for quite some time, but I'm lazy and haven't gotten around to it. What do you use to heat up the kydex?
