Looking for some advice. I bought my 2013 WRX used and did not realize it had a COBBEBCS-001 Solenoid installed until it started throwing CEL COBB3 and COBB4 codes. After back and forth with COBB, they say the part is no longer available and they do not have a replacement. I do not have an accessport and I do not have easy access to local COBB tuners. Unless someone can help me with an easy fix, I'll probably just need to remove the offending part, but I'm not sure what else I need to do. Do I need to replace the solenoid with an OEM part? Will I need to de-tune the ECU back to OEM? The car seems to run OK even with the CELs blaring, but I'm not sure the risk to drive it around. Any help would be appreciated for a forum newbie. Thanks in advance!

Wrong thread but we'll need the actual Subaru dtc codes. Cobb3 and cobb4 means nothing to me (And I dont know where your seeing those without an accessport) The cobbebcs is the boost controller. They still make those, I've recently bought two. If it's bad it's and easy fix, and usually brakes normal open so you'll be safe as it can only run minimum boost pressure. But I don't know exactly what your problem is without the actual codes.

OK, thank you. I'm seeing the codes on my OBD II reader. Here's the quote from Cobb support "COBB 3-4 has to do with a flex-fuel module that is going bad on the car." So, now I'm thinking it's not the solenoid if they are still available and the flex fuel kit is a different part.

I'll try to find the part and post what I find. Sorry for any confusion as I'm trying to figure out what I bought apparently. LOL

The "Cobb" sensor is just a rebadged gm continental sensor. Like $60-80. And should be an easy fix. I'm not sure how their fail-safes work but on my open source version if a sensor fails it fail-safes to 50% ethanol. So if it fails in pump gas I'll be super rich, or super lean on e85 but still somewhat driveable.

If it's the module, it's a lil more involved, try and find a used one but if you can't it's just a standard ECA. It reads sensor and outputs 0-5v analog voltage. Other modules do the same thing. But would need to be wired using same wires that go to the little Cobb module. It's just 12v in, ground, and 2 0-5v out. Maybe even just 1 5v out since I doubt they use the temp signal
