The Amazon and Netflix app will have 4k content for you. Daredevil and quite a few "TV" shows are 4k on there. Very slim amount of movies.. Of course you have to pay extra for the 4k content on Netflix.

But yes, bluray and regular old Netflix look much better on my P series. Enjoy the set.

I actually just ordered a 65" Vizio and skipped the 4k, because content. Looks nice though.
It looks like he's prepared, as more content is coming in 4k everyday (and there's already a decent amount) Keep trying to hide from buyers remorse, though.

Next TV I buy will be at least 4k but I have only had this 60" 1080p plasma for coming up on 3 years and have no need to upgrade for a while.

I didn't buy it (waiting for home build to finish/close) but big 4k sets are getting relatively cheap. This one has full-array backlight dimming, for those keeping track:

The more compelling reason to get 4k is most manufacturers are using better panels in their 4k sets, while their 1080p sets are now worse than previous year's models .

You gotta have an extra chromosome if you are buying a TV today and you aren't going at least 4K. That is, unless you are picking up 65" 1080p TVs for $300 or less.

We're in the same boat, about 6 months to close. We bought this model TV in the 60" display.

Maybe I'll regret not buying 65" or 70" later, but 60" looks gorgeous for now.

Not even getting into the 4k content vs actual bitrate vs viewing distance debate again.

Or maybe I am.

If you are sitting the correct distance from your TV, then you'll see a difference between 1080 and 4K. If not, you are blind and are only listening to the TV anyhow. You are future proofing your decision if you go with 4K now as well.

I spent $300 last spring for a 47" 720p TV. RIP plasma

I came in here expecting something for Stupid Carl.

Instead I get fruit.

Disappointed.

But I'll play, black and red sleeved cables, and some do-dads for my watercooling build.
